If you drive the truck more aggressively (Use the shifter to keep the RPMs higher before kicking up a gear) The truck will start to do that every time you drive. And it'll give you a much more aggressive feeling while driving. Drive the truck like a slug, it's going to think you like that and start doing it all the time.

I did not know this. Thanks.
However, the cruise control will drop 2 gears going up any sort of grade or "resuming"after using the brakes, depending on how hard you braked. I think it's unnecessary most of the time

I've named the cruise control Cybil. That being said, I think I'll drive like slug for a bit. Lol.

How exactly does this work and how long until my driving style is learned?

I'm the original owner and sole driver of my truck, and drive it like I stole it daily. My transmission shifting sucks.

Disconnect your battery. Wait 10-15 minutes. Re-connect. Manually shift driving hard, for the first day or two.

How we reprogram Lucario Runner's trans every time we do work which requires the battery disconnected. If we don't drive it hard, as mentioned above, it is noticeably slower to respond to shifts.

Like, just let it run to redline before shifting or drive like an asshole with my foot to the floor up to the speed limit every time?

Cruise control on all vehicles does this.
    Don't worry about it.

I've never had to disconnect the battery to do this. Just manually hold the gears with the shifter to about 3/3.5K RPM before shifting. After even a day of doing this for every light it'll start to do it for you. But if you start letting off the pedal before it hits the 3Grand, it'll start learning you like it slower and reprogram for that. (AKA-Slug)

I definitely notice a difference changing from city to mtn driving. Clearly a different style of shifting.

I reset my shiz pretty regularly. My driving habits change a lot tho. My commute to work is 3 miles, but then wheeling and the drags make up for it. I'm always having to get it to learn my new shift points.

    Wow, this thread is ridiculous.

OP: Who here would like something new that we don't have, but think we can put it together?

1: You can't do it, cuz noone else did, and I know it's hard.
2: You should make it free cuz someone else did.
    3: I won't say I'm interested until I know price.
4: Do you have hamburgers too? I need a price on something new and a hamburger.
5: You should make it into an app because I don't want anything that I can't do with my phone.
Really, folks, take a chill pill.

OP, many of us are excited, really. I just got my first VCI cable because I didn't even know that I could until now (thanks @Sandman614).
Many of us like to MOD. This just opens the door to possibly more options.

And yeah, a chance to change the way my 6-Speed throttle acts would be terrific. Soft throttle to shift easier my ass.
You will most definitely get a photo of my ECU ASAP.

Seriously. And everyone seems to have missed the earlier post where someone was already working with them to test everything out.
