Hey @ARCHIVE , just finally getting around to my suspension now and while I was originally going to go with Dakars, now thinking the Icon RXT pack for the adjustability. How do these hangers affect the lift given by the springs? (ie. Icon says on a stock setup, their springs will give 1.8" lift unloaded at the lowest setting & 2.25" unloaded at the medium setting)

Edit: Also just looking at your site, it looks like you have a 3.6" greasable shackle now - would this be a stock replacement?

Hey, the hangers add 1/2" lift with stock 3.4" shackles or the 3.6" option, which is like a greaseable stock replacement.

Would I need the 1/8" x 2" spring eye spacers with the Icon RXT's? Also, if I'm just sticking with 3.4" or 3.6" shackles, do I need to extend brake lines for the extra droop the hangers allow?

I don't have info yet on Icon bushings if they are same as stock. If your shocks are longer than stock, you should get longer brake lines

I’m just going with the 2015 TRD PRO factory lift kit so I would think I’d be fine?

@ARCHIVE looking for an order update on #R600393081 placed 1/28/18. Your site estimated a 1 week lead time when I ordered with no backorder notes. Haven't seen or heard anything from you guys since the order was placed.

    Thanks

    Cliff,

My apologies, I'm dragging my feet on the 3.6" shackles, probably a little due to Jan/Feb winter blues. I'll be welding 3.6" shackles right away, but I'll contact you with options.

As I understand, need at least 11" rear shocks? I have the OME CS047R with fox rear shocks, and has an extended length of only 9.6".

Good question. With these hangers, you can run stock shocks without issue, just shocks will be the limiting factor

The only thing I'm worried about is using my shocks as a limit strap and possibly damaging them. Fox advertises that they are good for a 3.5-5" lift applications. The leaf pack already gave me 2.75" of lift so the 1/2" additional lift form the hangers would be fine.

What's the extended length? Limit straps are less than $100/axle, and I encourage anyone concerned about it to install them

Forget about advertised lift numbers, and more so the collapsed and extended measurements. Dakars provide enough droop that the shock will be the limiting droop factor no matter what, unless you do a shock relocate and run a 12" or 14" shock, and that's even without the hammer hanger. Here's my dakars, stock everything and a 10" shock which is still the limiting factor by an inch or two.

Do you run limit straps for that? And just an observation, but does your bed seems to be leaning back, almost like your frame is bending?

No limit straps. All my stuff is low speed and I've had a rear wheel in the air plenty of times. If I happen to bust a shock, they're cheap at $90 a piece.

In regards to the bed leaning back, it is a little bit, but it looks a lot worse because of my cap. There's already a gap between my back window and cap because the cap is designed for a regular cab, so it makes it look like the bed is about to slide off my frame. It's flexing back a bit because there's 700+ lbs in my bed, but went right back once on the ground.

I'll help get rid of those blues...would like to order a set of 3.6" shackles and a set of 2 1/8" x 2" spring eye spacers.....don't see an option to order the shackles by themselves on your website.

Have you ever checked your frame man? Maybe it's just the picture, but that gap in between your shell and the cab is pretty off, it looks like the bed is either loose or the frame bent pretty bad directly behind the cab which is the most likely point of failure.

My cap is for a regular cab, making it look a lot worse than it is. My frame is less than a year old, so it’s not that. Maybe loose bed bolts, but I doubt it. I think it’s just the 700 lbs (with most towards the rear) that’s causing a little flex. Here’s the cap gap on level ground.

The shell makes it look way worse I'll agree, but the bed-cab gap is equally as concerning. I've got a heavy rear bumper as well but 700 lbs really isn't that much weight man and it's certainly not enough to cause visible changes or flex your frame what appears to be a couple inches while on a 4 post lift. Another example, @jberry813 had Deaver build his rear springs for 1400# over stock, because he carries about 1400#s of shit and his frame isn't tweaking. My bed bolts have a tendency to walk out too, but this big of a difference would be annoyingly loud and is something you would notice.

You should get that inspected cuz It looks way off man

I appreciate the concern, but I’m not worried about it. It aligns fine, drives as it should, and everything lines up when booting stuff on. Once we lowered the lift the gap was normal again, so I’m just chalking it up to the weight in the back.

In regards to Jason’s truck, he’s also got the back part of the frame boxed, adding rigidity iirc
