Funny how he gets off topic and starts saying he doesn't enjoy driving the car and that it is uncomfortable. He sounds like such an idiot. "it's a really difficult to get the car not to rear end another car" LMFAO

Too much Hippy Lettuce. Can't say I've noticed this. Learn how to fucken drive. It's got ABS, stomp on the brakes. If it serge's three inches and causes a accident your following way to fucken close. Got to like the guy with the manual tranny having this problem. It can't move if you have the clutch in. Now I must go for a drive and check it out. Am I worried? Not a fuckin bit. I'll report back. Thought that second video was a new one but it's the same fucken idiot.

I think the deal with the stick was ABS when you are stopping short sometimes it doesn't want stop as fast as you think it should making you think it is speeding up. This happen to me one time when I slammed on the brakes when I first got it and didn't know how the ABS felt. It felt like it was going faster cuz it wasn't stopping right away. Now I know what my ABS feels like and it is fine.. lol

I'm thinking the same thing. Cat run out in front of me awhile back but cause of it's position I could't see it cause the drivers side mirror blocked it's approach. Time I saw it it was basically too late but I did a panic stop anyway. No squealing tires and the cat is still alive. Didn't even use one of his lives up. You definitely can feel the pulse when you really hammer on the brakes. That extra stopping distance is actually a shorter stopping distance. If it releases you know the wheels where on the verge of locking up. Locking up will increase the stopping distance not shorten it.

Mine is an auto and it used to do it after the crash and fix so I took it back , thye adjusted the idle valve and it only surges from 550 (normal) to 650(surge), so to me its normal. Also i always have the A/C on so i don't know if its the A/C on mine that causes it or if it does it with out the A/C on.

Well I took it for a spin. Nope never had the AC on but never noticed that with it on or off. Anyway my drive tonight. I don't know what the fuck there talking about. I don't notice anything. My advice step on the damn brakes. Too bad I can't take that guys truck for a test drive. I'm not the best person to test brakes cause like I avoid using them. Never had a problem coming to a stop or holding the truck stopped ever. Ice, snow. gravel, no problems. I've been going up to the top of a mountain near here lately to take pictures of sunsets. The way down is so damn steep I need to use the brakes even though I have it in first. If it was going to do something odd it would do it there. Never noticed anything.

    Looking!
Ours has only done that once where we noticed it, as my wife was easing into an intersection, and it did startle the heck out of us. After posting on the forum about it, it makes sense about the A/C, but it definitely lunged. Both of us keep the foot a little more firmly on the brake pedal now at a stop.

Agreed his foot must have slipped off the clutch if he was in gear, and it wont move in neutral

Mine does it. I have found when i decelerate quickly that the truck doesnt downshift and then decides to when im sitting there stopped. On several occasions its a "i thought i got rerended" kind of bump. I think its a transmission issue with downshifting.

But this guy with the stick... ya i dont know

This story is 3 plus years old...

the guy needs to go back to driving school and the fed.. well we need to educate her too...

on my automatic, yes I feel it downshift and it has had a minor issue.. when I was pulling a 4500 trailer with cargo load it did not happen... so I suspect that it is just torque...

he should learn how to drive...

I guess we should trade our vehicles and buy a Nissan Frontier as they do not seem to be in the news for any issues. Better yet, lets trade in for the Ford Ranger or one of the other American made vehicles.

Toyota is really getting a beating in the media, most of it BS but I guess some of it could be real problems that need to be addressed. Maybe if this brings down the price on these trucks I can get a decent deal on a 4x4 Tacoma! :)

x1000000...he's driving a manual...press the clutch!! I get a surge when the A/C kicks on, but I'm not scared for my life because I know how to drive my truck.

I constantly have surging in my truck.

In my fucking pants! Every time I get into it I get a raging hard on from driving such an amazing vehicle.

The news lady can come do a story on that.
