okay last time I was measuring from the ground. from the hubs it's somewhat different. 23 inches on the passenger side and approx. (it was dark) 21.5 inches on the drivers side.

if Taco lean is around 1 inch then I have at least an extra half inch... idk I'm a heavier guy (6'0 260lbs) and I drive alone 70% of the time, could that be it?

but wouldn't a bad leaf cause really obvious noises or vibrations/clunks or some problem with the driving characteristics? the truck drives great on good roads and on bumpy ones.

total BS. they tried to tell me their shop floor wasn't even so they kinda saw what I was talking about but when they measured it was "bang on". yeah not going there ever again. going to try another dealer and will be measuring with them.

On another thread someone said that their taco lean was caused by a bent frame and the entire vehicle was either totaled out or had to be completely disassembled for frame realignment (I think). no damage history either

my front is only maybe an inch lower on the drivers side. I'm starting to this this is a leaf spring issue since it's accentuated at the back.

you got me paranoid about my frame so I went out and took a look...both sides look okay although I didn't crawl under just looked from the side.

I measured from the ground to the bottom of the frame around the rear wheels on both sides, the driver's side is 1/2 inch lower. I think that is to be expected even if it is a suspension issue.

I'm thinking I have Taco lean in conjunction with something else slightly out of spec which is exaggerating the lean. Idk if it's bad leafs, poor install (I have the squeaky leaf spring TSB done 1 or 2 years ago), my weight that may have worn down something on the driver's side, idk but at this point just want to get a cosmetic fix as it's driving me nuts.

my question is would the usual 1/4 inch spacer up front do anything for the rear? There will still be a lean but I'm hoping if I address the Taco lean itself the other underlying issue will be hard to spot with the naked eye.

also, is this spacer the one everyone uses? Also locked up this shim for the driver's leaf pack. I'm thinking combing these two should get me pretty close to level front to back.

more pictures of the drivers side leafs. is it just me or do they appear canted in the last picture along the same angle as the lean?

    found the original thread it turns out it wasn't frame damage but bad springs;

I just remember that I had developed squeaky springs awhile back and all the dealer did was install grommets to eliminate the noise. could it be that the springs have always been bad?

    Okay, major update time.

So I took the truck to a different dealer this morning. These guys have a good reputation and I explained to them I felt my dealer was screwing with me. They put the truck on the alignment rack for precise measurements...and it was almost perfectly level. They brought me in and measured in front of me as well. Picture below.

I couldn't believe it. I felt like I was losing my mind. They assured me the truck is well within spec and better than a lot of others they have seen.

I checked the truck out afterwards and I don't know what they did to it but the lean is way better now. Still there but way less noticeable.

Completely confused I then took it to a collision repair shop to get their weigh in. They looked at it in every direction and could not find a panel off or anything that would indicate frame issues. They did measure it in the lot and they found 1/2 inch lower on the driver's side front and back.

No suspension issues, no body issues... I have to conclude that it's my fat ass causing the exaggerated lean that apparently the dealer has now somehow reset (?).

I think a 1/4 spacer up front (and a diet) would sort this out but still confused how I was getting different measurements before this morning.

What they did was lift the truck off the ground for a inspection, unloading the suspension. Then they put it on the rack with a suspension that has not settled yet and had you measure it. After the suspension settles again it will lean. Next time you go in, have them measure before ever doing any inspection on the truck.

Just my thoughts, I could very well be wrong though.

I see, it does rule out any body/frame twist though at least. I still think it's me that's causing it (~265lbs).

I know the OEM springs suck so upgrading them would probably solve but I don't think these are many packs that are straight swaps with no added lift. I don't want to commit to a lift at this point.
