Total Chaos Uca Bilstein 6112 with toytec top mounts at 3" 285 70 17 duratracs
2012 TRD OR Bilstein 6112 toytec top mount 3" lift Total chaos UCA 40k miles. Aligned correctly.

After installing the lift there is a loud bang on the front passenger side when going over speed bumps. It rides smooth when hitting the bump only on the drivers side. I have taken it to two shops and reinstalled the front suspension literally 5 times. Still cannot figure it out.

All I can think of is the shock is bottoming out.

You can put a zip tie on the shaft to see how far the shock is getting compressed.

It is the extension that is the problem, not the compression.

I will add that the 6112 body shocks are designed for 2" of lift in the Baja/Pro trucks. You are running them on 3" lift, still doable. The Total Chaos UCAs will give an extra +1" droop, making it similar to a 4" lift at max droop, pushing the limits. Your driver side likely barely misses topping out due to the slight driver side lean, while your passenger side is just past that limit and makes contact. The back side of the speed bump drops away quickly and allows the suspension to rapidly extend before the full weight of the truck is on it.

I don't have a lift. Completely stock 2015 TRD Sport. I too get a very loud bang coming from my passenger side when hitting a bump at speed. It almost sounds as if someone toss a large rock at the side of the truck. It doesn't happen when I go over a speed bump though. It's only if I hit something like train tracks or a small pot hole when traveling at a moderate rate of speed.

Same issue. It isn't applicable only to lifted suspensions.

It may be one of the bed bolts has backed out. Go out and lift up on each corner of the bed to see if there is any play. My money is on the passenger side front bolt being loose. If I get time, I'll dig up the thread where it was discussed.
