It is with sadness that I must report I had to trade in my Tacoma. After 11 years of owning a 2nd Gen, the birth of child #4 has put my family size beyond the seating capacity of the Taco. Finding a Tundra with a full crew cab that seats six and has a 6' + bed is nearly impossible, so I was forced to upgrade/downgrade to an F250.

I'll still lurk the forums and I won't be Toyota Pickup-less long as I will soon take possession of an 87 Xtra Cab 4X4 with the 22RTE.

Nice truck, Ford's aren't bad I have one and it's been great. The 87 should be fun.

I've had a couple good Fords over the years, and one bad one. Fingers crossed.

My first new car I purchased when I was 19 was an F150. Had that thing for 14 years and it never gave me a problem other than the clutch master cylinder going out one day leaving me with only second gear. Quick fix. Other than routine maintenance, it was a great truck and I still miss it sometimes. Traded that in for my first Tacoma and I ended up here. Congrats on the additions to your family and driveway!

Usually I hate posts like these and the OP generally gets dramatic and bashes the Tacoma on the way out. This one was done with dignity and in a rational manner. Bravo

If ever there was a valid reason to dump Toyota it is doing so for family/kids.

    Congrats on the new child!
