Hey i've been looking at getting a new Tacoma as i really miss having a truck. I was really hoping they were going to put in the dual VVT and maybe a 6 speed trans but that didn't happen.

So now i'm wondering if i should wait in till they do or just make a jump and hope that they don't put it in next year. Because i would kick myself if they add it next year and i buy one now.

    .
Kinda doubt Toyota is going to do that anytime soon, they have no reason to because the truck is selling well. There are ways to make this truck much better but toyota figures they're fine like it is.

Just seems dumb not to put that stuff in, you know it would give the truck at least 2 or 3 more MPG. Maybe Toyota's is waiting for the 3rd gen so they can said it is a huge improvement in HP & MPG over the current gen.
