Good idea on the octane boost!!!! I do that.

 

Buy some extra, in case this happens again.

Got the octane boost in. Thanks for the suggestion! When I opened the gas door the bright red “premium fuel only” stickers screamed at me. SMH.

Yeah, I've gone as far as to say NEVER FILL UP MY TRUCK to my wife but I also have told her on multiple occasions that its tuned for premium and we may have a $40k junker on our hands if it ever sees 87 again not entirely that dire but she got the point so much that she bragged the other day about how she filled up her 4cyl CRV with premium - unnecessary but at least she's getting the point!

 

Dongle-less? if so install/flash is easy peasy. you are going to like it! Congrats!

So... clearly someone out here is dongleless and has the latest and greatest. We need reviews for those sitting around with their dongles in their hand

 

You know what? I believe that everyone here should step back and think about what Mr. Wilson has been doing. I believe that He has been doing a relentless job of, not only returning all of our emails, but getting the fixes done to improve our trucks! To run the best that they can and do it for, what I think, is a reasonable price for what He is accomplishing! PLEASE, EVERYONE how about a standing ovation for Mr. Mat Wilson? This guy is GREAT!!!! Thank you Mat Wilson!

 

Toyota should be paying him. I absolutely would not still own a 3rd gen if he hadn’t swooped in a year ago with a fix

Got my dongle in my hand patiently waiting...

 

can't speak for holding my dongle in my hand - but all of us guys have since the day we learned not to pee down our leg. Know what you mean - would think Mat would ask for all of them back and convert to Dongle-less for ease and other obvious reasons.

 

Will there be any benefits to flashing 1.04 on 04B04 calibration over 1.04 on 04B03 calibration? Not sure if any of the TSB will be incorporated with this tune or if we’ll have to wait until 1.05. I imagine from the complexity of integrating TSB into tune we will have to wait until 1.05. I just flashed 04B04 via techstream this afternoon. OVTune has drastically better shift points and power, but I am enjoying the low speed operation and shifting on 04B04. I’ll probably give 04B04 a week or so then flash back to 1.04.
