B0400 + 1.04R ”87” = The lag of the fly-by-wire right peddle is greatly improved. It is not to the feeling of a direct push-pull cable and bell crank linkage but close. The shifting is much, much smoother. At times it almost feels like a hydrostatic transmission. It settles in gears and spends much less time searching at higher speeds. From 0 to 35 it still climbs a bit too fast to a high gear. If you put the foot in it from 30 to 40 it still looks for a gear just a bit to much. Engine is smooth with no stumbles, I did experience the phantom rear bump from behind twice while on an incline at 45mph. I did notice right after the flash when the A/C compressor cycled the idle had a rough spot for a revolution or two but that has gone away. The truck now passes smartly without arguing with the driver about what he’s asking the engine and tranny to do. The cruise control is very good now. Three or more up bumps on the CC stalk will get the tranny to drop one gear and TC to unlock to get you to the next speed. Two up bumps only makes the TC unlock till the next speed. A launch from 0 is much improved, more like a pit-bull than a donkey now. Looking forward to 1.05

Thanks, good to know. I ordered the Tactrix and going to do update myself. I plan to tune eventually so the Tactrix is necessary anyway. I'm working my way up to the higher priced mods slowly.

My guess is this is the locking of the TC whereas I've noticed that at half-lock climbing in that speed range the B04 calibration is very smooth now which was never the case. I'll bet 1.04r is still trying to lock it while climbing like that and I don't think the trucks ever going to like that on a climb at lower speed.

otherwise looks like a really huge leap forward in many ways. 1.05 is gonna be a game. changer.

Probably feels a bit sluggish with that wide heavy tire.

Maybe I missed this somewhere and hopefully someone can answer. Will 1.05 work with the new tsb update and the most recent previous version as well? If not what is needed to make it work. Thanks

Not worth lugging my PC/Monitor/Mouse/Keyboard out to my garage only to do it again in 2-3 weeks when 1.05 comes out however I am anxiously awaiting the release!

@OVTune im curious if 1.05 will have the smoothness of the new tsb? I love how the truck shifts and coming out of a corner or on a downshift doesnt give you a jerky feeling like i felt with 1.04. I like 1.04 but after driving a few 100 miles on the tsb i fell in love with the smoothness especially since i do alot of city driving. Crossing my fingers 1.05 will combine the tsb update and 1.04 with the 3rd gear shift point fixed.

@OVTune , ever consider getting some of those inexpensive computers with the tune already loaded for those of us without internet other than on cell phone. And without a computer? Only thing holding me up...:pout:

Is 1.04R still pending release on FM or via email for dongle users? I loaded 04B04 the other day and would like to try out 1.04R if available. I can wait for 1.05, but I’m itching to try out 1.04R with TSB.
