Is the techstream free? I think the easiest way is taking my truck to the dealership

It can be had for free. It will be a "other than paid copy". It takes some finaggling but it works for what you need it. Look back a couple pages, I believe there is a post about where it can be obtained.

I have the same experience as you. I have even flashed the 1.04 87 tune, and there was no noticeable difference between the two. What ecu version are you? I emailed about it and they said that 1.05 is going to drastically change the experience.

I’m running 04b03 1.04 91 not sure if I should try to get 04b04. Thought you couldn’t have 04b04 and the tune together until the next update

Same experience here as well. Although, with all of the circle jerking going on in here, I think my expectation was too high. I have high hopes for 1.05....

I was wondering if I messed up the setup so I went through the whole thing again and it looked like it went through but I’m not sure if there’s any way to pull this info to verify.

I wanted to flash back to stock to see what I wasn't missing but then I realized my flash manager 1.09 disappeared so I wouldn't be able to reflash 1.04:notsure:

Can't you just look at your current calibration on your ECU and see what it says now?

If you didn't get any errors, then it went through. I'm just going to wait till 1.05 and see if it makes a difference. It doesn't seem worth the hassle to me to update to 04b04.

Yeah I posted my experience and was instantly denied by everyone, so I didn't complain again.

Background: My truck has 40k miles on it, and had 04B03 before tune. I have now had 1.04 87 on it for 2020 miles now.

This morning about 5 minutes into my commute my truck hiccuped (like threatening to stall) 5-6 times in quick succession, and then kept on driving fine the rest of the day.

I have never had anything like this happen before with this truck. The only thing I do know that’s wrong is that the battery is getting a bit weak. It takes a little bit longer to start sometimes, and when I had it checked out, it read at 440 crank amps.

Is this tune-related? Or should I be going to get it checked out? And if I do, should I be flashing to stock beforehand?

I’m leaning towards fuel delivery too. I have never cleaned injectors. And I also run the tank down to almost empty all the time. I was at half-tank, so I doubt it’s the gas itself, because it would have presented sooner? Right now I filled up and put in chevron injector cleaner.

Got back later then I expected. Also once again for anything please email me support@ovtune.zendesk.com

I will get to everyone tomorrow and ship pending kits. File updates, registration, etc.

    Regarding any tune versions. 87 91 1.03.. 1.04.

It's all obsolete at the end of the month. 1.05 is a major overhaul.

That is always a possibility. I'm riding on some sticky 265/75R16 BFG K02 tires. The truck can hardly spin them in dry conditions if I try my best, and when traction control has activated in the past, it was always subtle and felt nothing like this. With that said, I'll try to duplicate the stumble with traction control off and let you know.
