Well I have the new TSB and I just flashed my truck with the 1.04R 91 and I have absolutely no issues. I’m more than confident that Mat will get it all figured out.

I’ve noticed a hesitation with the TSB in my ‘18. I’ll turn onto a road and give it a moderate amount of gas, and it’ll accelerate, and then not, and then accelerate, and then not.

I noticed on 1.04R 91 that sometimes when coming to a stop and the trans is downshifting as the speed decreases, i feel a clunk sometimes now while slowing past 20 mph to a stop. Its intermittent since I cant recreate it on demand. I havent felt anything like this since i was on the stock tune over a year ago. Anyone else on 1.04R 91 sometimes experiencing a clunking noise on slow down?

There are two main symptoms of the detonation,
A rough / stumble / bumpy road feeling when driving constant speed under 2000 rpm and audible metallic popcorn noise.

Would something show up in OBD Fusion that relates to this?

I'm on 104 87 since late May and very happy with the trucks performance. However what you described with "bumpy road feeling" has always been there pre and post tune. I figured it was the CPS, bot my Vin wasn't part of the recall for that. Doesn't happen all the time.

I’ll go ahead and add another report of detonation at low RPM on 1.04R. Didn’t hear it previously but it’s really nice out today so I had the windows down.

    Edit: 1.04R-91

I guess I have it too but it's not very pronounced - but yes I do get that "bump in the road" feeling at low RPMs. I wouldn't go so far as to call it a stumble b/c it doesn't cause any major hesitation or anything but does feel like there's a bump in the road that doesn't exist... (running latest TSB only at the moment awaiting 1.05 to re-tune).

Overall I'm pretty happy with the TSB though TBH. I was driving on mountainous interstate drives last weekend and aside from one big climb I stayed in 5/6 the entire time and got 19 mpgs loaded down with boats and bikes through curvy, hilly, and mountainous interstate driving at 80 mph... happy with that.

And I also find that the sweet spot for lower speed, curvy mountain driving (on state or county roads) tends to be S-4/ECT and it drives perfectly most of the time. I used to put it in S-3/ECT for similar response and as a result I can get 22 MPGs on the same drives that used to net 19-20 at those lower speeds.

I'm not in it for an MPG game but it is nice to actually see numbers similar to what was on my door when I bought the truck....

I must admit that I have also always had the stumble "bump in the road feeling" stock and tuned. I'm excited to see what 1.05 brings.
