I’m not impatiently waiting for the 1.05 tune.....just commenting on a better business practice/model to have it via his website.

You are not the fist to comment ton this issue. Yes, it is an issue, and he is actively working to resolve it.

Perhaps, but if the updates do not come via the website, I wont shed a tear. His product is good and well worth the money. How it's delivered is really not an issue, for me.

Good for you! Which has nothing to do with my input about the delivery etc of his product. Oh...and the product...not sure why it needs to be mentioned it’s great. Read that many times and one of the reasons I purchased....and agree.

As a coder I can understand a little better about what he is dealing with I think so let me share...

Here is what I understand. Mat has been going through the code changing the tables to make the vehicle drive better. We all see that. Now when Toyota released all these updates they changed the tables and the algorithms. He's going through cleaning up the code and fixing the new problems they introduced and trying to make all his old work count. Consider it like he's starting from nothing creating the next update of 1.05. He got screwed by Toyota and he's working through it.

Now with him doing this all on the forums on Tacomaworld vs doing it on his website he's allowing for 100s of customers worth of input. This is HUGE. He could be doing this with 10 or so dedicated people locally and not take ANY input from any of us. This creates a lot more work for him vs doing it in a closed environment. Most companies will not do this. They build a product, release it, and if you don't like it tough luck. He is going through and continually providing updates to a product he doesn't have to. It does give him better product but is it worth the frustration?

I appreciate what he's doing and understand he's not just going to destroy our trucks to release something that isn't complete. You bought 1.XX and getting updates is a bonus.

    My 2 cents.

To add to that, he’s got multiple projects going all at once, not the best practice, but at this point we gotta work with what we have

So.....put all the info in one place versus spread across multiple pages to peicemeal. For instance why isn’t 1.04r, AT, MT, etc, etc, captured on the first page?
Instead you have to read literally 100+ pages to try and put it together.
So....doing it via a forum, summarize, put all the update related info on the original first page. Simple fix.
By the way, I have spent many hours, years, sitting through meetings software/hardware related to spacecraft, NASA.
Bottom line, put all the info in one place so people can do one stop shopping, get the info they need versus digging multiple pages for it AND having to ask the community for help versus getting it directly from Matt since he is out of pocket/busy etc.
Again I get he’s somewhat of a one man show.
He could make it way easier on himself to take a few minutes and organize it all on his first page....put all the pertinent info there.
People on here ask questions, others reply trying to help, some info good, some bad that has to be corrected etc.
Again a bad way to put it all together.

I understand. He also didn't expect this much involvement. He's working through it all and it keep getting better. I'm just trying to tell you how I look at it and why I'm not upset with it. I post on here from time to time but I post it as ideas to make stuff better and try to stay positive. He'll take it on board or he won't. Its up to him and how he wants to run it. Its his product and his company. I just appreciate someone finally doing it.

After spending over $30,000 for a Tacoma, do you receive an email from Toyota when there's a TSB that affects your vehicle? :D

Personally, I think using the forums makes it more consumer friendly. Brings you into direct contact with Mat; he’s a part of the community instead of a name behind a company.
