It has to be, the tune sucks with the Spec U pipe. The tune was fine until I installed the pipe. It was so bad I went back to stock tune. Runs like it did prior to pipe. Not sure why the combo sucks.

Edit: Also not sure why I was not one of the first to get the stutter fix as I was the second person with the tune installed as a Alpha implementor.

I hope you get taken care of soon. This is why I am waiting for datalogging. Already removed my intake and will wait to install exhaust until I know a tune is available to compensate.

You removed your cai? Does this mean you are running the tune with the stock box?

I have the AFE intake and spec-U exhaust, still waiting on the tune (order #1884). And I'm in no hurry if the tune isn't going to be compatible with my current configuration.

According to OVTune, the standard tune will accommodate aftermarket exhausts, including the URD Spec-U, and CAIs.

What made you decide to do this? Also, how does stock box compare with tune?

I was running lean +11 LTFT with intake and tune so I took it off. This was the point I had made pages back about tuning for intakes and exhaust but it got buried. Stock truck and tune 1.01 the data numbers look good for me

It drives the same. Just personnal preference. I did not like seeing the positive fuel trims.

Can you explain what positive fuel trims means exactly? Is a lean condition detrimental to the engine? I know lean mixture can generate heat issues...

Long term fuel trim is data that is gathered from short term fuel trim. Short term is instantaneous. A positive LTFT is a response to a lean condition thus adding more fuel. A negative LTFT is a response to a rich condition thus removing fuel. The ecu can adjust usually around -25/+25 for these conditions. I personally do not like being +10/-10. Thats just me though. Everone else can do what the want and run their mods:)

I'm wondering if this pertains to my post. I paid a couple weeks ago and WNYTACO purchased his about 10 days before I did. I don't think a single post asking about projected shipping time after waiting 3-4 weeks is too much...BTW, I asked and got no response and didn't complain, so there's that...Maybe focus your energy on the numerous people that keep posting that he hasn't sent their tune back within 10 minutes of them sending it to him or they guys that keep asking how much the tune costs and what it does.

I think in your case datalogging will be the key. Those of us with Techstream can get all the needed data now and that is why we got the newest test tune. I don't remember seeing you post that you had techstream, but I may have missed it. This is still very much a work in progress. I am sure you know it will be worked out, but I think (I know) Matt was blindsided by the number of people interested in getting their Tacoma tuned.

I don't have anything for those that have paid and not received anything yet. All I can say is that it will be well worth the wait. The throttle response alone is worth it IMHO. I know the tune will be dialed in over the next few weeks and I'm waiting for a handheld tuner so I can swap from Eco to BTTW (Balls To The Walls) and the push of a button.

Just send the man an email. Its on your order receipt. He gives priority to actual paid customers, but a single question in the middle of all this nonsense postings is not a sure fire way to be heard.

For anyone who has our 1.01 (A) version map I will be sending updates out as 1.01 (B) to the email you used to make the order with tonight.

For shipping times on pending orders another dongle batch arrives soon. I am sorry for the delays. 2 batches left and we are fully caught up.

Pending who are pending their first file will have 1.01(B) tonight

Does 1.01B fix the stutter? Is so, what was the issue causing what I suspect is misfires?
