I’m really hoping that the change from 1.04r to 1.05 isn’t a drastic one, I’m really liking how the truck behaves with it

Yeah it went smooth for me as well. Just did the tsb tonight and then immediately flashed 1.04R. Just for added peace of mind, I did hook up a battery tender during the tsb to make sure my battery is good.

I do have the latest version of techstream that I could find (13.10). I also flashed a ‘16 with 04B000. It took twice as long to flash compared to my ‘17 with 1.04 loaded on it.

This may have been discussed, but has anyone flashed back to their original TCU file after flashing the new TSB? Probably wouldn’t make much of a difference on either file. Just curious.

You cannot flash backwards once going to a new version, the "access codes" to flash change when you upgrade. So the key to enter programming mode on old files no longer works.

i believe the dongle kits can DL the file via Flash Mgr but someone correct me if I'm wrong. I'm on an original dongle based kit.

So, when Matt finally posts the post we're all waiting for... what's the process for upgrading from current to 1.05?

Use the tactrix to read ecu, send him the code (specifying which version of 1.05 we want), update the new flash manager 2.0, wait for file then re flash? Is that close?
