If “throttle by wire feel” means the same as cabled throttle, like my 2003 Tacoma had, then yes you are correct. It was a single cab 4-banger I lifted and got extended fabtech spindels and 31” tires. Had exhaust, intake, etc. when you stomped that thing went and I knew exactly what the vehicle was going to do. I miss that truck. Many of my younger years memories spent in that little mini taco.

Am I only the only one confused partially on this. Why don’t you want the throttle to open more?

Matt, for OffRoad 4x4 trucks AT transmission, is it possible to make it so when you are off the throttle, coasting to a stop (like 15mph to 0) the transmission does not downshift? In these model trucks, allegedly because the brakes are tied to the ECU (crawl feature) and go thru the ECU (not a direct peddle to pad line) it is very difficult to make a 'smooth' stop (this was discussed in other threads) - we think because the engine RPM differences (changing due to downshifting) make the vacuum change, therefor making the brake sensitivity change, causing driver to constantly try to compensate the brake peddle pressure. Anyway, know you are busy and I DO NOT WANT TO DELAY 1.05, so if easy yeah, if not, next release. thanks for considering it (or if anyone else has this truck and managed to fix this annoyance, LMK!)

You don’t have a vacuum booster in your truck. Your truck has a different system.

doesn't surprise me - whatever that system is however, it makes it real hard to stop smoothly! No worries, it's keep me challenged at every red light :)

Oh, for Matt - disregard my thoughts on the downshifting - I guess the idea of fixing the smooth breaking dies here, like it died a long time ago in other threads. oh well, but if anyone can figure out how to brake smooth on these things gets my sincere appreciation!

I notice it. I'm used to applying brake in a normal manner, but then backing off to next to no brake pressure as I near the stop. It's a technique I use in the planes I fly for a living; if done right, passengers never know you stopped.

I can't do that in this truck.

1.03 had much better braking to a stop, less harshness. Came back in 1.04 for me
