    I think it's supposed to show the car being able to better accelerate in a specific gear without needing to downshift?

    Yeah cause of the full torque converter lockup. More like a manual.

    To an extent. The truck will obviously downshift if it thinks it will stall but from what the video shows you can put your foot down without the truck having to downshift in S mode

    Is this showing us how the TC is full lock on deceleration? Is it full lock in acceleration also?

    My gut tells me there won’t be one....it will be custom tune requests going forward. Hope I’m wrong though!

    Hopefully the throttle control is balanced out well enough at the higher gears so the driver can seamlessly choose between accelerating slightly without downshifting and pushing the throttle further for faster acceleration that would require a downshift.

    He said a while back they designed it to do that and get the torque from downshifting rather then opening the throttle more. That's one of the big things he worked out here in 1.05 that pushed the release back cause it took a while.

    He’s in S2 it won’t downshift to S1 at that speed.
