Tacoma - OVTUNE - VFTUNER - Update Info and Original Development

I think everyone can agree the stock tune was trash. All the revisions were progressively better and better. Then Toyota dropped the TSB that changed everything and in some ways was better than all the other tunes. I’ve run everything since 1.03 and every update has brought something new.

I have no doubt 1.05 is going to be the best yet. Custom tunes will also be available which should take care of anyone’s remaining complaints (usually throttle response or shift points)

 

I am in for testing and logging. 93 running now, latest TSB and stock intake with 1.04R loaded for about 1200 miles.

The other thing some people may not realize is that not all trucks respond the same to a particular file. I might have some problems but Shellshock may not. Same file.

Then of course, the doubt sets in - what is he talking about? Fuck that guy complains a lot! He must be crazy or just wanting attention.

Be aware that just because these trucks are supposed to be identical coming off the line, they are obviously not in some cases. If you look back far enough in this thread, you will see Mat's frustration over this fact.

Not directly related to 1.05, but I'd find it interesting if Matt had a blog post on what exactly Toyota changed in the latest TSB, ie reverse engineering it.

 

I wish my truck was like others who have 5,000 miles on after a year lol I’ve been tuned for about 40,000 miles at this point

i don't remember who but someone on here recently said there was even a newer tsb than the 04B one. Is this true? Searching around for it now.
