I'm rich in tunes (101, 1.02, 1.03 and 1.04) soon i will be adding the mother of them all with 1.05. My prediction is it will drop Oct 5th at 9:17pm. Let's see if my little birdie is accurate.

Believe me, I'm in the spirit . . . I think my GF wants it to drop as much as me just because she is sick of hearing about it! I just don't think asking "when" every other hour is going to make it happen any faster. 1.05 is the tune we deserve, but not the one we have right now. So we'll wait, because we have to.

I agree. At least another week, and that's cool. I'd rather have Mat get things almost totally dialed in than release it before it's ready.

I'm good with by the end of the month. I'd just like to run it for a bit before it snows here in the midwest.

    Handheld Tuner Logger Add-on Package

    https://www.ovtuned.com/collections/toyota/products/tacoma-3-5-handheld-tuner-logger-add-on

We received information that these ecus are now support for use with our handheld hardware and wanted to create a fair way for everyone to have the opportunity. I know you guys have requested this for the longest time, and for the longest time we thought it would not be possible. But we were recently informed that these ecus can now be done :)

Also other ?good? news, due to how busy Toyota development has kept us. (tacoma 3.5, Tacoma 4.0) we are going to be focusing solely on this and dropping other developments that are just getting in the way.
It means more time dedicated strictly to this platform.

WOW! So The handheld tuner is for flashing tunes only, it cannot be used as data logger for custom tuning?

correct, the handhelds can show live OBD data display but cannot log, and do not have the ability to log toyota enhanced PIDs on this ECU. Blame toyota! they do not follow actual SAE requirements..

All custom tuning / ecu access will be handled by us.

Wow.. I'm actually really disappointed I paid for the dongless version with tactrix cable 2 months ago when I could of just bought the handheld tuner. Even better I've been running stock TSB tune from toyota because I wanted the update and will have to run it until end of October

Any hp gains with 1.05 or is it just a better feel than 1.04?

How would custom tuning work with the handheld, we log with the laptop, send to you, and then we can download the custom tune to the handheld ourselves?

I think many of us would have opted for a handheld if it were available at that time. I was just about to purchase a windows tablet and make my own "handheld" so im glad i didnt pull the trigger on that.
