Tacoma - OVTUNE - VFTUNER - Update Info and Original Development

If it were me, I would be waiting for requests rather than sending out to everyone....
There are probably some who like what they got, have become bored, sold or traded...

 

I thought the updated flash manager polled his server's for new files. That info may be out of date however.

 

From @OVTune post on the linked page it sounds like everyone will be able to download there tunes now without emailing him.

I've always wondered why there is zero moderation in this thread. It's just a total free for all with all the garbage posts. Don't dare report any posts either or you will be threatened to be banned from the forum. Because of all this, I'm pretty sure I'll be using unsubscribe button once all the 1.05 stuff is out in the open. Why can't people actually put in the time and effort to search for answers, or god forbid, actually read and learn on their own? Some of us have literally read every single post in this 1285 page thread.

 

Ok guys so I bought the software only package this morning. And according to the instructions I got I can immediately down load the software up to the point where I have to send Matt the computer ID. Is this correct?

But you are correct, he will send you a file that you will open to unlock the rest of the features.

totally agreed.

asking questions is fine. but do some due diligence and put out some effort instead of being expected to be spoon fed info you think is specific to you but in actuality isn't.

plus this thread goes way off topic too often and important bits are missed.

That is for the update, you should have a zipped file or something show up that you have to extract on your desktop it might be an .rar file or something I can't remember.
In your case, that means there aren't any updates needed and you can proceed to the next step. I did this last night.

 

Ok the file is empty. Does it send automatically when u order or do u have to wait till he sends it.

That's what I did, and came to the same conclusion you did.... not that 'logical conclusion' that I come to means much to a vendor...

Case in point
Website shows sold out on 'handheld trade in, keep it' kit, but not on 'trade in dongle kit'.
Same parts to send out one can assume...

So for now, just dont damage my dongle... Guess i should be running dongle on a USB extension, so it is less likely to get damaged if laptop is dropped...

 

File should pop up as ovtune stuff with the file type listed in the instructions(on your desktop you will need to look for it).

 

I've searched my whole pc. Not finding anything.

 

I vaguely recall having a similar problem. Have you tried pressing the "download as zip" button at the top of the screen. Even if there is no file listed on the page there still might be a file linked to that button.

 

Follow the dongless instructions. You're jumping ahead. U need to read your ECU Id and send it to the reply email that ovtune will send u. Then he will send u registration id and tune files
