He has to make a change, test it on his truck, make another change... test it....

Lot of work! Plus we've been bombarding him with feedback.

Just loaded 1.04R 91 Oct. Loving how smooth my truck coasts at highway speed. Can't wait for 1.05. Spending more $$$ than I have to on gas right now since my go-to gas station only carry 87, 89, and 93 Oct. Been on 93 Oct for about a month now prepping for version 1.05. @OVTune -> You need to market some morale patches or decals, bet you can make $$ from all Tacos carrying your tunes (will serve as free advert also).

It’s really a no win for Mat. If he releases with a bug, people will be pissed. If he misses a date, other people will be pissed.

It’ll be done when it’s done. I’m more than happy with 1.04. 1.05 will be that sweet icing on the already delicious cake.

In the end, it will come down to custom tuning... because you just can't please everyone. One only has to look at previous release feedback to see this plainly. I will say that some did have legit concerns, though.

Mat could nail this release and you'd still get plenty of people unhappy with the way the transmission holds gear, downshifts, upshifts, throttle response etc etc etc.

that's my target, 100% for sure. especially with the exhaust work I'm doing, which is still underway.

thing is, my truck is pulled apart somewhere in Fort Worth, been without it for over a week with no end in sight. I'll probably be watching 1.05 happen from the sidelines.

No. All you have to do is unbolt your system and bolt his on. Simple. Whatever system you choose. Keith is making it as simple as possible to suit everyone

Well, can you say in a global sense what you're working on without adding an opinion?

Sigh, here come the smartass responses..

I understand that a hand held tuner will be available. But as I read Matt is saying that older 2016 must get the current TSB flash because they have older versions of computers. My question is how the heck do you tell if your computer is a older or newer version

Ok I understand that but I'm brand new to this my 2016 hasn't been tuned at all or has the latest TSB update from Toyota so this might be a dumb question but what is B01 and B02 ?

Take it to a dealer and ask for the latest TSB. There's a thread about it.

B01 and B02 are abbreviations for calibration versions that Yoyota has had on various vehicles. You don’t need the latest version, you just have to be newer than these older files. You can buy a chingadera from AutoZone or wherever that plugs into your OBD port and will tell you what you have. You can also use it to read trouble codes. They can be very simple or very sophisticated
