I may get flamed for this, but I just flashed to 1.04 91and I am somewhat disappointed. It is for sure better than stock no doubt about that. I still don't feel like I have the throttle control I should although it is better. I can't expect a huge difference in butt dyno results as I live at 6k ft. It did hold gear better, but still had a tendency to downshift before I thought it should. Again it was better than stock. Shifting was much smoother and I am very happy with that. Overall it is an improvement but kind of not what I was hoping for. Hopefully 1.05 will give that extra throttle input before downshifting which it sounds like it will.

How dare you have an opinion on Tacomaworld?!?! FLAMMEEEE!!!!!!

Im kidding, i somewhat agree. Not sure what to expect from 1.05 but i try to keep my hopes low that way when it does drop im somewhat happy. You can only do so much to a truck through an ECU. There is no replacement for displacement unless you boost the crap out of it.

Edit- we also have a crappy transmission pared with a weak engine that likes to rev really hogh to give power. This truck drives like a 600cc sportbike.

Driving over the continental divide with turbos does sound like a good option, but I really doubt I will be able to pass denver emissions without cats.

Same. I REALLY want twin twerkbos but no way in cats ass will it pass Can’tifornias emission laws, it has to be CARB compliant. Maybe 1.05 will hold me over till Matt decides he wants to make it CARB certified. May just hold out for Magnuson but who knows if that will actually ever happen.

EDIT- maybe i can buy the supercharger and all the the equipment and pay matt to tune it :-0

Can't imagine the turbos, did a U-turn with 1.05 this morning and couldn't get moving... or stay in the lane I was in.

    </morning 1.05 update)

Probably should have clarified that lol, yes, spun up. So used to having a little wiggle that this caught me by surprise when it full on spun both wheels.
