I’d rather run my third gen on the stock tune. I like knowing I’ll get where I’m going

Not a bad mileage but I would have gone for a 1st gen tundra tbh.

Just ordered the handheld unit and I’m keeping my dongle! Bring on 1.05.

I thought the same. Go to page 1 of this thread. Scroll down to the bottom of Mat’s updated posting below all the 1.05 info in red and handheld purchase options are there. Last one listed for $199. At least he took my money.

That’s not the handheld. That’s the logger cable for if you bought the handheld so you can do logging and custom tuning

Looking forward to getting a tune at some point, but I’m pretty happy with the truck as it is. Maybe the 3rd gen just seems like a nice upgrade to me because my last truck was a 1st gen 3.4l loaded down. I definitely don’t consider the shifting and throttle response bad enough to warrant getting rid of it.

Aha. I miss read what it said. D’Oh! At any rate I’ll need it for logging for custom tunes, right?

You said you had the dongle correct? Your OBD plug you should have already have with the dongle kit.

Ahhhhh shit! Thanks for clearing that up. I sent @OVTune an email asking to cancel that order. I still want the handheld tuner once it’s available again.

No doubt! I’ve been on the tune since 1.02, so I got it down. I’m gonna make a big ol bowl of popcorn and watch the explosion of messages from the sidelines.
