Considering he’s putting twin turbos on his truck very soon, there is no way in hell that he is going to keep developing a NA tube if his truck has FI unless he’s going to take the turbos off a couple times a week. That’s where custom tuning comes into play

You ever ran the ECT on the highway ? Im on 1.04 and that's what I do .. makes a difference

 

I can attest that my July 18' AT is garbage to drive, in my opinion. Currently running 1.04, I definitely think it helped with a lot of issues, but still aggravating to drive, especially on hilly/mountainous roads. May try to get the TSB applied this week to see the difference, but definitely flashing 1.05 when it drops.

 

Yep, was really sad the truck still did a bit of a gear dance today when I took it back to the mountains. I think OVTune helped though, it seemed to hold 4th a little better and didn't downshift/upshift quite as quickly. Really, really hoping 1.05 fixes it completely

 

Any before/after dyno with tune + CAI?

 

The benefits of OVT are definitely worth the money, but the truck will NEVER shift perfectly without aftermarket gearing - 6th gear is way too tall.

Just installed my stock air filter back in and took out my K&N one.

Then I started it and it was the exact same and the tune felt exactly the same!!! What do I do?

 

You forgot to reflash the tune and let it idle for an hour! Rookie mistake.

So I've been watching this thread from the background for a few weeks and I'm sold on doing the OV tune and I've been reading the 1.05 is due out soon but also see it has been pushed back several times. Should I hold my breath and wait for the 1.05 or get the 1.04 and if I do get the 1.04 will there be an extra charge for the update?

 

Updates are free. Roll with 1.04 or 1.04r (depending on your ECU) until 1.05 comes out. 1.04 is still a great tune over factory, 1.05 is going to raise the bar

Come on...... insurance is up on the 31st and this truck is sitting in the driveway till I consign it. I want the 1.05 update just to feel how she should have driven before I get rid of her....
