Tacoma - OVTUNE - VFTUNER - Update Info and Original Development

As I understand it, 1.05 incorporates the TSB changes, but not the TSB itself(?), so if it were me I'd try it before flashing to 1.05. But as far as I know the TSB isn't necessary to install 1.05, and 1.05 should be an improvement over the TSBs

 

Top graph is load I think. Look what the throttle positions is doing in the circled part on the left compared to the right. Which looks better?

I don’t know how to interpret what he is showing with the advance in the bottom graphs.

 

I would not do the TSB if you are planning to add 1.05. Also, If you do the TSB after flashing 1.05 I think it will over-write 1.05 which defeats the purpose of flashing 1.05. JMO.

 

Lol because apparently now the AT folk need regearing while us MT folk are happy with ours

 

That's why I leave it in S-5 w/ ECT for all around drivability. D w/o ECT for Prius mode. I'm running 1.04R.

 

Man it would be awesome if 1.05 dropped this weekend. Then I could make a high altitude wheeling trip with a new lift and new 1.05 and be excited about how much better the truck was than before.

 

Had the MT in my Gen 2 - it was nice but wow first gear was sure low. Prefer my AT Gen 3. Gears are an option some opt for. OVTune is an option too. Too bad you MT owners are stepchildren and last to receive. BTW I say the Gen 3 is better than all previous models, MT and AT. Shift on.

Did i miss somthing? Thought he said well before end of October? At this point i rather wait for a perfected 1.05 that will make those panties drop. Then its off to the twin turboooo thread.

 

yep he said "well before." Not sure how he defines "well before" but we all agree we want it perfect. Let hope perfect happens in October!

 

His definition of "well before" comes from the same book that he uses to define "soon".
