These are fine tuning changes, not substantial ones

Either way, release isn’t gonna be this weekend. If you account at least 2-3 days for feedback and then a decision on Mats part if he feels there is anything he can do to fine tune anything further or if it’s ready for release

Ah I thought I remembered something like that, but wasn't sure. Can anyone explain why that is, or point me to a post that does?

So do you like the new tune so far? Light years ahead of 1.04?

Every ecu tune has an “access code” so to speak. 04B03 has a code that is stored in one location in the memory of the ecu meanwhile every other tune has a different access code that is stored in a different location. So if you try to reflash an older tune, it won’t take because the access codes to write a new tune over the existing isn’t in the same place

Edit: at least that’s what I understood from Mats explanation a couple dozen pages back

But way before the end of October

I’m sure it’s worth the wait. I’ve been on the 04b04 or whatever for about 500 miles. Smooter shifts, better in hilly terrain. Still blows around town. 5th gear 1100 rpms at 35 mph. Chugs

Same, but more like 1500 miles on the TSB and chugging around town in 5th gear at 1100rpms. I think the upshift point to 5th is 31 mph. ECT on 04B04 is actually quite nice though.

My truck was built 12/4/2015 so I’ve had every version of toyota ECU tune, 3 TSB updates so far and been swinging my dongle around since 11/2017 so I’ve had every OV tune iteration also; bananas, crispy cream, you name it I’ve run it. I liked the Toyota update right after I flashed but it’s learning those same bad habits. I’m hoping those updates combined with Mat’s hostile takeover of the ECU parameters create some magic.

    RIP @DyLoN

Currently on stock ECU and I've got an appointment at the dealer on Monday to flash the Canadian version or equivalent of TSB-0062-18 (TCI-5133 in Canada). Should I just cancel my appointment since 1.05 release is imminent or?

I just got mine updated and I had 1.04 before. I'm glad I did, and recommend getting it updated also. You don't know how much longer it's gonna be before 1.05 is released.

They said yesterday they are getting ready to receive another file for testing. Which means earliest next weekend.
And I'd gladly wait until next year if it meant getting it right.
