Tacoma - OVTUNE - VFTUNER - Update Info and Original Development

I’m of the opinion that shift points are very subjective. Logging a few days of driving in manual mode and sending the data to OVT is the only way everyone is going to be happy. I wish I was smart enough to write a script that allowed me to ghost my shifting preferences and write them to the ECU/TCU.
An alternative option would be to have several selectable on-the-fly options based on S-mode with ECT On/Off D mode with ECT On/Off - each one having slightly different shift points and tip settings (but I’m not sure that’s even possible).

 

While I do agree, the shift points aren't exactly what I was talking about. How it shifts, problems, surges, slips, harshness etc.... I'm feeling for all of it.

 

You can shift a AT like a MT.
You can't shift a MT like an AT.

Did you use to drive your automatic civic like it was a manual, shipmate?

 

Never owned a Civic shipmate.

 

Just wondering, because anyone that owns a manual transmission knows for a fact that you cannot drive an automatic like a manual. Sure, you can upshift and downshift through the slushbox pretending to be a manual, but it is in no way, shape, or form the same thing, shipmate.
