Tacoma - OVTUNE - VFTUNER - Update Info and Original Development

[Since we’re already a little off topic]

I went to the Honda dealership today to pick up a new Accord for the Mrs to test drive over the weekend. When I pulled in, three salesmen were about 1’ away from the big glass window staring at my truck.

*Random salesman opens the door for me*
Me: Hey, I’m thinking about trading my truck in for that *pointing at the Ridgeline on the showroom floor with the lame tent-in-the-bed package*
Salesman: Really! Yeah, let’s do it.
Me: Fuck no - are you kidding me.

The Saleman who I’m working with laughed so hard he spit out his coffee.

Good times

I may not be happy with my transmission, but at least it isn’t a Ridgeline.

New version has been created for AT and MT which I'll release tomorrow to everyone (who asked) including previous testers.

I appreciate the enthusiasm guys I want to finish this as much as you guys want to play with a new tune.

New version has another update to the transmission, another update to the throttle, and modified torque locking *slightly*
Upshift and downshift tables have also been modified again.
New version MT has updated 4D AFC / ETM model tables, 93 advance base, per gear torque request models updated, and a few other things.

All feedback testers will also be given the logger which you may use if you wish to provide additional feedback.

Certain 1.05 features will be added by custom tune request and not be default ( like S mode changes, or FULL lock mode, and a special throttle feature that makes shifting seamless (at the expensive of peak power))

And for people who really like to have tie-in being aggressive like 1.03, I have a version that makes off the line response absolutely insane, and immediately locks the TC, I love it but it will light the tires up so be cautious.

 

I missed that part you can just ask and get 1.05

Keeping fingers crossed you have something comparable for the M/T's,I really liked the aggressive tip in of 1.03.

 

I'll probably be the guy that wants s mode lock for 4 wheeling trips. I want 2nd gear in 4low without going into 1st

Dammit, the point of me getting this tune was to fix my shitty AT, not for you to make me even more tempted to trade in for a MT! lol

 

Or they needed a long bed and couldn't get a MT

Dude. I’ve owned both and off-roaded both. Desert raced both. F**ked in both. I’ve smoked rice rocket fart pipe wannabe’s and a V-6 charger. The AT is fine and will probably outlast the MT’s...just sayin

The AT is great offroad, in traffic and especially good with kids in the back.

If anything, hate on those dumbasses that drive a lifted loud ass diesel as a daily driver and literally can not give a shit of respect for other humans.

 

AT was definitely fun, and had some get up and go. Just enjoy the MT much more. As mentioned before, that was my first AT, so was new and exciting (and extremely frustrating with the issues) guess I'm just stuck with MTs for life.
