I have to say the TSB is nice, changes a little too early but has decent pull and is smooth.

    OMG this is so money...

    I'm cancelling my appointment.

So... should I grab 1.04r afterward or just wait?

Also, is there any way to extract the current map with the flashing tools we have so that I have it later? I like to keep records and have the ability to revert for whatever reason.

Thanks guys. This forum is amazing.

Once you do the TSB you can’t go back to previous non tsb tunes

Right, but I'd like to have a copy of the post-TSB ECU map to flash with our standard process. Kinda like how Mat provides the stock tuning file when you purchase the tuning package. That way I can flash back to "stock" if ever needed using the usual process and not the techstream process.

1.04B>1.04>TSB IMHO having had all three, I would not change to the TSB from 1.04 without throwing 1.04R on top of the TSB...but I don't think everyone agrees with me....YMMV

Do understand there are risks involved with doing the TSB yourself, it isn't fool proof.... it may be easy but if something happens then you're going to have a bad day.

That's what I figured. But what's the process of getting 1.04r? Filing a ticket with OV? Man, i don't want to be that guy right now, lol.

Yeah you could read and save the factory TSB tune or ask for it from mat

All the more reason why I'd rather have a file I can flash using OV's system rather than the techstream approach.

Currently the TSB can only be applied using techstream because it writes both ECU and TCU simultaneously, and changes the seed key.

If you do have one of our kits, there is virtually no risk to doing it from home because if techstream fails you can recover the ECU with our kit.

If you do not have our of our kits, be careful.

I think You have to use techstream to do the TSB originally. Once it’s done and your ECUID updates you can flash back to it with the OVtune method.

But the original flash is through techstream

Perfect. I've got a kit. What's the process for getting 1.04r? I've already got 1.04 from when I purchased the kit. If it's too much trouble, I'll wait for 1.05... or become a tester. Up to you.

An easy way to see if the TSB symptoms are there, and you are need of them is to do the following, preferably on clear streets. I experienced all of these issue repeatedly and I am in S Fl so my altitude is about 15-50 foot above sea level. It is clearly NOT an altitude problem.

4 lane road, sit in the suicide lane to make a left.
When you have a sufficient opening, not one big enough for the Chinese army just a safe one for your truck to go through, floor it.
Start counting seconds when your foot hits the floor
IF you count more than 1.5 seconds and your opening was closing so much you are now concerned you will not make it ac cross traffic alive... you have the delayed take-off
IF when you take-off it launches and even after you remove your foot from the skinny pedal the engine continues to rev up and accelerate, you are in need of the TSB.
IF you can hold the pedal steady at 40-43 MPH and without changing foot pressure your truck randomly, meaning no discernable change in terrain, decides it should be going over 50 and begins to suddenly accelerate you have the symptoms and needs the TSB.

Since I applied the TSB (Still on stock tune) I have not experienced these problems. I still have clunks and some delays when changing from decel to accel, such as during a city turn.

Yes both TSB numbers apply the same calibration file to correct the issue.

I had the dealership flash mine yesterday and they did OP#TC1601 which pulls up T-SB-0077-16 and I was like dang that was an old one. Well I read my ECU last night and I’m 04B04 now.. 1.05 Insane

Been patiently waiting for 1.05 dongle-less while sipping on a 14 year balvenie Caribbean cast. If you haven’t tried it get one it’s worth it. Now I go to sleep

Do you perhaps have the CUW file of 04B04 so I can flash the tsb myself?

I will be out all weekend working further on 1.05 AT.
MT owners have provided us with plenty of logs to review as well which I appreciate.

I am sorry for all the frustration and delays on 1.05. I will post here throughout the weekend everything that is being done with some log data.

Also please don't overthink the TSB. If you need it, get it. If you want it, get it. I know this thread can get confusing very quickly regarding everyone going on at the moment.
