I am so sick of people winning and bitching about Matt's timeline. As an example, if you know who Elon Musk is, he misses his deadlines too, but when he got called out on it, he said something to the effect: that if we never set aggressive timelines, nothing would get done.

In some respect, I see this as what Matt has done. He has to set a goal for when, baring issues, he EXSPECTS, things to be done. So, he sets a goal to work for, and if issues arrise, he has to push that back.

Not sure if some of you know, but there are many people with AT that are working with Matt on logging to fine tune issues with the transmission. These files take time to digest and fine tune. So, done with the nice part...

Matt is doing something NO ONE ELSE IS, or willing to do. Cut the guy some slack and let him get it right.

All tech expriences delays, no matter what it is. Apple, the largest US company ever with more resources than any to pour into development... still misses deadlines. That fancy phone charger they showed off a year ago.. no where to be seen. Things committed in an iOS release often don’t make the cut and get pushed weeks or even months out, why? Because they know there are still bugs in the features: they could release stuff that kinda works most of the time but delays happen to get it as bug free as possible. Now look at this on a micro, 2 person team kind of scale. I think we’re ok, this is getting handled and I prefer quality over rushed with bugs!

 

GFY! Mat don't need a White Knight CPT Save-A-Hoe. When you set public deadlines you keep it. BPT eat it if you miss it. Mat has taken the hits like a champ but that's expected. Kudos on the work that he's done but you're in no position to tell off anyone. When it comes down to it, it's all about business. Those expressing their angst should be free to do so since missing your public deadline is akin to breaking trust. Don't like it, then don't make your deadlines public. Got a problem with this PM me so I can give you my address.

 

Considering the delay with already paid customers I’d say close order taking and take the ‘week’ to finish the tune. Whiners will get over it.

 

Has anyone uploaded the tsb 04 using tech stream vs. 10.9? I’m thinking about doing it. I need to tow a trailer and can’t do it with the stumble at wot at take off 1st gear.

True that. I’m a designer with a team of highly skilled developers and we still miss deadlines...(even though my designs are never late )

 

Missing deadlines happens in every aspect of every business. Minimizing it is the key. There needs to be aggressive and timely deadlines to push a project forward, but if one thinks that there should not be a deadlines to push for, and there fore should not be announced, we'll, I would hate to do business with you. Get real.

 

I believe TSB can ONLY be uploaded using tech stream

 

I was refering to using techstream version 10.9, which is loaded on my laptop. Just curious if anyone has used this version to install 04B04 TSB 62-18. I dont have wifi at the shop and dont want to drive back and forth a couple of times today.

Idiots bitching about missed deadlines are conveniently forgetting or ignoring that he pushed back his target release dates for YOU. This continued developement is for YOU, not for him. Otherwise he may as well release 1.05 for you whiners and then wait for the inevitable shit storm that will ensue as people bitch and complain about wtf is wrong with the goddamn tune, which leads us straight to 1.06, 1.07, and so on. These delays are so YOUR tune and YOUR driving experience are as optimized as possible (for an off-the-shelf option). Get the fuck over yourselves.
