Tacoma - OVTUNE - VFTUNER - Update Info and Original Development

@OVTune I know it's been mentioned before but have you look further into "mode selector" Not sure if that's the right word to use but basically when you put it into s mode, the gear sector will show whatever gear its in. My company vehicle (Chevy express 2500) does that. I hate the fact that when im at a stoplight and put it into s mode, I have to shift down to 1....

it's not clear to me.

Is this an additional "S" mode (enabled by the ECT button), or does it completely replace the stock "S" mode?

 

It's an additional, only with S-ECT. s- non ECT functions as normal

Trying not ask all the delaying questions.... but.... once in special S mode, does it keep that mode if you un-ect? Or is s1 and ect on, a requirement to keep that mode?

I understand that s1 isn’t a requirement to stay in that mode.

 

Great addition. For clarification, do you have to put in S, engage ECT, then downshift to S1 in order to activate?

Or simply put in S mode, engage ECT and now I'm in gear selector mode?

I preferred not have to put in S1. Say I'm driving on the highway, want the truck to stay in 5th or 6th, I don't want to pull over, stop somewhere, put it in S1, engage ECT then continue driving.

If i am driving on the freeway and switch it into S mode what gear will it default to? For gear locking^

 

Clutchless buttery smooth shifts... i can live with that.
