Tacoma - OVTUNE - VFTUNER - Update Info and Original Development

Here you go...

Driving 50mph in 5th, start loosing speed give more throttle.

Kicks down to 4th, accelerates. Upshifts to 5th, can't maintain the speed.

In cruise control, maintains speed in 5th.

OVTune fix?

 

What order number were you?

 

time to get out your siphon! or, just burn it down a quarter tank and fill it back up with some 100 octane to bring your total to 91+ It's just math, right? 6-7 gallons of 100O on top of 87 would get you to 91+ right?

Well, 14 gallons of 87 plus 6 gallons off 100 would get you 90.9...lol

I've had my tune for about a month now and love it. This was just what the truck needed after OME lift and 285/75/16. Should I just keep checking back here for new tunes and revisions or will you be updating the first post or is there an email list?

 

i believe if you bought the tune and have done all the back & forth and have your tune file from OV, then you'll get emailed the new updated file automatically... that's how it went for me. but for the future this is an @OVTune question to be certain.

 

These instructions are pretty in depth. What ever happened to just a "UPLOAD TUNE" Button. There's like 10 steps of high level security clearance.

I have a mac and don't feel like petitioning my hard drive for windows.. so looks like im going to try a 15ft USB extension from desktop out the window

@OVTune where are you located again? I'm assuming the dyno is same location?

 

I'm kind of in the same boat. I'll be relocating my small computer to the truck via extension cord and praying my wife doesn't see me.

 

I also live in Highlands Ranch and have the tune. I'll try to give it a shot this weekend. Something as simple as the drive from HR to Castle Pines North on Monarch? Or bigger, like Monument hill? Or even bigger, like west on 285 or I-70?

Can one just buy the definitions and base map? I has tactrix from previously tuning a few hundred cars lol.

Maybe the developer would sell you just the definitions and map , but you get the check with him directly

 

I thought you were going to wait for 1.02?

 

He has said that the tune is 350 for a 2nd vehicle if you already own the dongle. I would imagine it would be similar to this

 

Did anyone get tunes email on Friday? OP posted pending tunes to be sent out Friday,. I'm on day 3 patiently waiting @OVTune .
