That’s essentially the plan.... laptop in the truck always is a bit of a pain. Handheld can fit in the cubby and stay there. I’ll probbaly eat the $200 cost to upgrade to handheld.

Is ect going to be a higher/more agressive performance mode rather than just holding gears longer now?

Ect= insane mode. Would be cool if ect could act as a map switch button. When turbos come out ect button can be high boost mode haha

Give the man credit , delay launch and cover with disclosing new features to boost sales while exciting those waiting . Everybody wins !
Me thinks Matt's major was in marketing but with a gift and a passion for tuning . Mat will be running out of ways to spend all his money by age 45 . Kudos !

@OVTune - any chance there is an option to rig up a dual position ECT switch to have a 'standard ECT' and 'OVT shift-lock ECT' or does it need to be locked into one behaviors in the ECM at flash time?

Guys don't over complicate this! There is going to be 2 options with or without you get to pick what you load! Let Mat get this finished and released then you can request custom setups !

I definitely would say that I’m not as impatient as some (especially when Matt is throwing in bonuses), but if you can’t wait, either perform the TSB yourself according to some great posts from other member, or take your truck to the dealer and get the TSB installed. Then, install 104R. If you’re anything like me and many others, you will appreciate it. I know it’s all subjective, but it’s very hard to argue that 104R isn’t the best current option we have available.

Damn.. too many beers... had to correct this post 8 times to be legible. Cheers!

Can you confirm if hypertech adjust the MPH the ecu sees? Tried logging speed?

Just drove 200 miles up and over to Tillamook OR and back with gear. Avg. 20.2 mpgs on 1.04 AT

Perfect max MPG at 55-65mph 1400rpm

Just thought I would mention until 1.05

Oh now you want a hypertech unit ;)

Speed the ECU sees? Are you referring to what your speedo says? It corrects it on the speedo, both digital and analog. It does absolutely nothing other than that. Doesn't change shift points.

Well the ECU doesn’t change shift points based on speed.

I’m wondering if the ECU is seeing the correct speed also, for the ODO and for the MPG meters like the radio MPG meter and the driver info display.

It would be nice to log the correct speed.

According to mat, the truck shifts based off of speed, rpm, and load combined. That being said, hyper tech only adjusts the speed on the speedo, not inside the ecu

    Interesting.

That being said, I don’t want hypertech anymore.

I’ll wait till @OVTune changed the speedo multipliers

Hypertech does adjust the odo as well.
