Hype tech only adjust the displayed speed in the cluster.

I know for 18+ the cruise speed displayed for TSS is not effected by the hype tech module. So your speedo and cruise speeds won’t match.

That’s what’s great about running 4.88’s. The load is greatly reduced so the truck doesn’t always think it has to downshift.

Really 4.88’s are a dream compared to stock.

Except for the clunk coming to a stop and a still numbish gas pedal my truck drives great.

Good luck with that. We've been begging him since day 1 to incorporate a speedo adjustment in the tune. Don't hold your breath.
I just went with the hypertech and it works for me.

Go ahead and quote me where I said I speak for everyone here...I'll wait. It's perfectly acceptable to disagree with people, it's OPTIONAL (see what I did there .:)) to be pleasant about it...go ahead and give that option a shot more often, you might even like it...

Yep I remember you mentioning this. That’s why I’m sort of holding off on hypertech.

So the digital display of speed doesn’t change?

I went to the NOGA mountains for the second time today since I flashed 1.04R....the shifting, or rather the lack thereof, in the foothills and cruising on the highway is SOOOOO much better than stock. I'm really looking forward to 1.05 but 1.04R is pretty good...not once today did I want to run it into a tree off the highway. That was a regular occurrence with the stock tune and with 1.03 even...:D

The speed display for the CC is lower than the speedometer display speed with the Hypertech installed. However, if you're doing 70 MPH and set the cruise, it stays at 70 MPH. Only the CC display is wrong.

So you’re saying if my analog gauge is reading 70, the digital gauge will read lower?

So I just flashed to 04b04. Idling it right now. How does one go about getting 1.04r?

I'm saying that if you're doing 70 MPH (speedo) and set the cruise control, the small speed display next to the cruise control icon might read 65. You're still setting your actual speed to 70 MPH when you engage the CC. The speedo is accurate, the CC display is not.

Yep. I especially like how it uses a combination of the the torque converter, higher rpms, and Otto cycle to pull when needed instead of immediately downshifting - at least that’s what it feels like to me. Before 1.04r, any need to maintain speed in 5th or 6th was met by a downshift. To me it feels very similar to slipping the clutch on my dirt bike to keep rpms in the powerband. BraaaaaP.
