As a “forum OG” I’m pleased to say that this happens from time to time.. someone gets upset that they haven’t heard back. Then a new version of the tune is released and everyone goes wild.

I’m glad some of the original gangsters are still around to keep the new guys sane.

I just miss the positivity this thread had when the tune started.

And if I could have gone to his "shop" and got the files before 4pm, I would have. How does this sound on Friday?

Them: "Hey Tim, I'll do this for you this afternoon, before closing since we close at 4."
Me after closing: "Hey, you ever send out that email?"
Them: "Sure did. I must have missed you, but I don't even know who you are so..."
Me: "I'm the guy that you told earlier today you would send me the email this afternoon."
Them: "I'll get around to it when I have time."
Me: "So I continue to pay for your mistake? Sounds reasonable. Thanks."

Then guess what didn't happen between 10 and 12 on Saturday?

Lol... I am so getting black balled by Mat moving forward aren't I? I'll be lucky to ever get files again. I'm gonna need to change my email address.

Kings, 275/70/17, a few custom items, lots of Meso mods.
It's still there, we just watch from the sidelines until an update is released. Not much to say until 1.05 AT is completed so until then enjoy. :hattip:

I'm not the one that gave my word. Believe me, if that statement had never happened, nothing would have been said. I waited a bit for my initial files and didn't care one bit. There was no committed timeline. Once again, not unreasonable to expect one to keep their personal word.

C'mon Man. All you have to do is read this thread to imagine the number of mails he's getting. Did he really say "I give you my word, I'll get this out tonight!"?

Yes, and I'd quote it, but I'm not digging through 20 pages of posts to find it. It was all here. And he actually did send out a bunch of emails, he just "must have missed" mine. And when I pointed it out, he was condescending about not knowing who I am and said he'd get to it when he had time. When you make a mistake, you don't charge your customer to fix it. You deliver. Once again, it's a lot deeper than that, and it's all here. Why is everyone so defensive of Mat? That dude walk on water or something? The guy made a mistake. No hard feelings. Just deliver on your word.

I don't feel like you should take him saying he didn't know who you are to heart. Even if you did include your user name in your emails. I wouldn't expect anyone to remember mine even after a couple emails. I feel like he was just stating he didn't know who you were when you brought up your situation.

Y’all should be glad this isn’t a URD product, you’d be losing your fucking minds on customer service.

What happened with URD? I just bought their mkII Y pipe. Shipped to me international within a week no issues. Only problem was that it threw a CEL and Gadget told me it wouldn't but I've since then fixed that with an O2 simulator.

Personally if I was that upset with a company and felt that disrespected or whatever I’d just get a refund and be done with it. I’ve had shitty service from other companies, even had a set of rims stollen by a company but never did I go cry on a public forum. That’s my business with the company not crap to air out publicly like an episode of Housewives or something. Figure your situation out with the company and get things settled. Get a refund, whatever. Since you are big on teaching values to the chilllins, teach your kids how to solve problems not cry publicly.
As far as finding a solution to not using OVtune, there is another company that has been discussed on these forums that offers a tuning solution if you search. I can’t comment on how well it’ll go with the other company cause the reviews are glowing at first then seem mixed after that with some going back to the stock tune. The company doesn’t offer anything as far as insight about the tune or how they “tune” it and there is zero working with the customer’s feedback and as far as I can tell zero updates but that’s just from what I gather by reading the thread. Maybe if you contact that company you can get more info and try work with them to get your truck to where you want it to be and just be done with OV altogether. Bickering on here with the “dick riders” is fruitless and is counterproductive to getting a resolution.

The frustration comes from the expectation that some one should read a 1400 post forum to receive customer service instead of receiving service through direct emails.

If you're dropping big bucks on a product it seems like you should have regular updates via the company's website and not a user forum and second hand knowledge.

I understand the frustration when I purchase a digital product and then it takes two weeks for me to install the product.

I'm fine with 1.05 taking a while to get released to make sure it is a good update. I'm not fine with customers waiting for a long time to recieve 1.04 that has been out for a while.

And to all the forum haters that view one's post based on message #s that's stupid. Just because one hasn't posted doesn't mean they haven't been around since the beginning.

And to be clear I've been on 1.04 for a while now and I've enjoyed the product. It has made a world of difference for me. I was honestly thinking about trading in my truck for a Ford before I found this forum. I eagerly await the 1.05 4B03 AT update.
