Soooo, when I took my truck to the dealer to get the A/C blower fixed in August, I asked the service guy about the TSB. Due to the fact that it's a lease (long story - I own a business - if you lease a vehicle you can tax write off more of the payment than if you were to buy it. I am going to buy it when my lease is ended, hence all the mods and upgrades...).

So, it's a lease and I didn't want to mention about the fact that I have an aftermarket tune (1.04), cuz Toyota technically still owns the truck. Moss Magnuson act, yeah I know, I was just being cautious... Anyway, I asked if he was going have the TSB done. He said maybe if it needs it. I said it probably doesn't. When I picked up the truck he said that the update WAS installed.

However, it was not on the paperwork at all.

If the TSB was installed, it would be on the paperwork, right? I mean, the dealer wants to get paid for that right?
All work was done under warranty, no charge to me.

I didn't really notice any difference in performance from before or after the dealer, but I might be mistaken.

ANYWAY, without going to the dealer, is there anyway to determine if the TSB was performed on my truck?

I don't care if it was or not - I'm getting 1.05 SOON like most of us, but I need to know if the update was installed or not to get the proper version of 1.05 yes?.

Is there a guide worth reading on all this? I'm late to the thread and 1500 pages later sounds like this needs a basic summary to ease into.

If you run PCMFlash and hit identify it should show the current calibration (04B04 if TSB performed). They also sometimes will put a sticker somewhere under the hood but that’s hit or miss.

Mat is updating post #1 with all that info by the end of the week. If you look up his posts on this thread today he explains the timeline so there should be much more info by then.

A dealer said they did something they didn't? I'm sure that's not possible...

Check. If they didn't get paid for it they probably didn't do it.

950 miles on 1.05 today plus the 292 that I already did over the weekend. I think that probably puts me towards the top the leaderboard of miles logged on this release.

    Running the 87 tune

This thing is a beast. It’s been rock solid for me thus far

I've been on 1.04 for a couple months now. I stopped for gas at a station I had never been to. I have been running 91 because that's what I thought was available in my area, however this shell station in Beaverton OR had 93.
My miles to empty is usually 385, shortly after I started driving I noticed that my truck felt I doubled boost of ect. I was running late and I really noticed that it was a blast to rally through rush hour traffic. The miles to empty went to 420. I've been driving the shit out of it and the miles per gallon says 14 to 15 mpg.
    I can't wait for 1.05!
This truck is truly my best friend and my wife has agreed to go wheeling with me tomorrow. My 3 favorite things in my life! My wife, my truck and mud!
Been following this thread for quite some time and I love the conversation. 20180706_172207.jpg 20180720_132147.jpg

Because I also found out the wonders of 93 today and it for sure pulls harder and eats a little less gas, too hard to tell yet I've been wfo a little too much since I reset the avg lol

34's 9 inch wide. I have to take it back to Superior Offroad to cut some more plastic off. They didn't want to cut part of my bushwackers off. They rub when backing and turning. I have ikon uca's and I guess they set the wheels back a little.

I know, I am going to find a gas station with 93 or more and ethanol free. I did a search the other day and found a website that listed all the stations that offer that. I know that the ethanol reduces mpg.
The great thing about this truck is that it keeps getting better and better. I never get tired of it because I keep adding more equipment .

Yeah I'm 34x13.5 with total chaos uca's and they do change your castor angle I just align it myself trial and error cus jumping, bombing corners ect all are factors noone will take into consideration near me or just doesn't know where to start anyways. Also i pulled the swaybar and the castor angle didnt jive with that on high xpeed pavement corners, likes to body roll to an extent then just starts walking to the outside of the corner. I did find the sweetspot of managable understeer though and it still hugs dirt roads like a mini cooper haha what lift and coilovers you running? And That's weird though you said superior off road, I bought my 17 from superior auto sales in Hamburg NY I wonder if it's a branch of theirs or something because I see there's one in Ohio also that's where my title was issued anyways when it was imported anyways

I am running the ikon stage 4 with air bags and extra leaf springs.
My other 17 taco had Nitto terra Grapplers and on this truck I got the G2's. I thought they were the same, they are not. They are still a great tire though.
This Superior offroad is family owned body shop. They do great work, they worked on both of my trucks.
