Easy for you to say, you haven't had your first taste of 'Tacoma Crack'. For those of us hooked, we need a bigger dose to keep the same high.

Are people happy with 1.04R? I'm getting really impatient here. Been on the B04 TSB since like August, patiently waiting for 1.05 final release. B04 was pretty damn good, but after a couple thousand miles, learned some of its old bad habits. I'm ok with resetting the ECU to get rid of what's been learned every so often, but would really like to use the tune that I paid over $700 for. I seem to recall a few 1.04R users flashing back to the stock ECU tune recently.

If you’ll go with the 91, then yes pretty big improvement. The 87 1.04R seems pretty similar to 04B04.

    Fast and not fast

I personally love it when it goes to 5th at 35-36. My commute to work speed limit is 35 so I set the cruise to 37 and get 27-28 MPG

Big fan of 1.04R. 91 octane.

I’ve been saying Christmas time... doesn’t seem that far fetched at this point.
I’m running 1.04r and it’s pretty good, so I can wait

Majority, 99 percent are using 1.04R to this day and they like it. The people active on this forum posting all the time are literally less than 5 percent of all tuned trucks out there.

Upgrading to 1.04R is extremely easy so why wait.

Will 1.05 be the final release for the 3.5 Tacoma and do you have an ETA on the AT version? @OVTune

I’m still rockin 1.04 (91) without the TSB. I just did a 1300 mile round trip to Northern Tennessee with no issues. One day the truck was in weather temps from 80 to 20 degrees and 20 back to 80 degrees the next. Interstates and backroads. No issues. I did find that I got better MPGs running in the S-gears with the CC on rather than D.

I ran 1.04 for like 6-7k miles. Flashed the TSB, then 1.04R.

1.04R is much better than 1.04. It’s worth a shot.
