    Same.

Smoothness, shifting, throttle predictability = TSB > 1.04r
    Power, low-end = 1.04r > TSB

But every truck is different so I'm not surprised at all there are conflicting reports. Right now a smooth running truck is more important to me than power. Soon enough I'll be able to have both though, and for that i'm eager and thankful to Mat for taking the time to dial it in to perfection!

Been watching this for a while, 1.05 is looking sweet! Wondering/Hoping we can see some tests and info regarding towing with this release?? interested to see what settings OV recommends for towing and if there has been any testing to monitor trans temps, gear hunting etc. I've seen some members post good results, but unless I missed it in the 1,500 pages (which is possible, sorry) not a whole ton from OV.

I see what you did there...it will drive some people crazy with speculation...hopefully that does not lead to more ridiculously speculative posts...at this point I'd rather see vacation pictures...or better yet, pictures of poster's "wives"...

Not sure what I did, I'm legitimately on the TSB right now lol.

Mat's making changes to 1.05 still, I'm not on a new test file just yet.

I like the hand held option, when he gets them back in stock with 1.05 ready, Mat will get my coin, but until then and running the current TSB,I have no problem with the wait..

People will make all sorts of wild guesses on why you are now the TSB when they know you were testing 1.05.

"OMG, why isn't he on a version of 1.05?!?! He must hate it...it must suck and that is why it's taking so long..." etc etc etc.

The need for instant gratification that has creeped into our culture is gonna be one of it's downfalls...

Mat's been pretty clear on what needed a lot more work on 1.05 - the shifting labyrinth that is the source of most AT issues and has created many a headache. I was extremely impressed by the way the engine felt overall, just felt like it was breathing better and even sounded better running if that makes sense. I can see why MT guys are happy!

that awesomeness on the AT (test) was severely limited by wonky shifting / flares / torque converter behavior, much of which changed so drastically from B03 to B04. Hopeful for the future as Mat continues too untangle that web (and the S-mode lock looks fun too!)

    I can clear that up.

I didn't like the downshifts of 1.05, I gave Mat feedback and with everyone else's feedback he is making changes (hence it wasn't released on 31st).

He's the expert, we give our feedback and he makes changes based on that.

Hopefully 1.05 has lots of engine braking

It's an AT, not exactly well known for engine braking!

It's amazing how the requests are so different, engine braking for me would be useless, I have zero hills, yet you would like it.

    Yeah I agree.

I just don’t want to be cruising at 70, coast down to 50 and have the engine down at 1k RPM.

I’d rather keep the RPMs up and ready to go.

Would a shift to S5 help in that situation? (I've never driven my truck down a big hill lol)

Yep, but I’d like it to do that in D.

Which is why I'm not only OK with it being repeatedly delayed, I'm actually happy about it. It means problems have been identified and are being FIXED, so the final product is
all we hope it will be (or as close as possible). I don't understand the mentality of people bitching about the delays...especially when 1.04R (in my experience) is soooo much better
    than stock (including the TSB).

@OVTune with the upcoming changes to ECT PWR being used for shift lock, I got 2 questions:

When accelerating, if we were to go full throttle, would the truck bounce off of the rev limiter if someone was to not upshift?

When coasting down, if we were to not downshift, will the engine stall or auto downshift?

From the first post...I think he meant to put "upshift" between or and at...

"**For safety the truck will automatically downshift below 1500 rpm, or at rev limit**"

It already does bounce off the limiter. *Edit* Maybe not then!

He mentioned a safety downshift when the RPM gets too low. All AT change down in that situation.
