Matt is incorporating the tune into 1.05 so it actually is 1.05r.

THIS is why most here understand WHY Mat needs time/patience to decipher the complexities of the Taco, and how to professionally unpack, investigate, understand, improve, then invent/reassemble a quality finished product for us. Watch and learn from a master of his craft.

I think what he's saying is give us the 1.05 ecu calibration to be used with the current tcu tsb calibration. I think...

Those improvements are short lived. I've been on the TSB flash for over 3k now and the truck feels exactly as it did before. First 1k, it was a completely new and different truck. After, I start noticing a decline.

Love the research and info going on in here! Keep it up. Look forward to tuning in the future.

What you described is 1.04R. TSB with engine / power enhancement, OEM Toyota TCU algorithm.

1.05 will contain additional engine / power improvement, and OVT transmission algorithm, which he said will make the truck run on ONE shift schedule, at mile 50 or 5000, which is music to my ears.

1.04R definitely have multiple shift schedule fuckery from Toyota (post TSB), end product being shift degradation (gear dance) over time.

If you don't know already, disconnect the battery, or clear DTC via Techstream. This will make your truck run great again, essentially "reset" your truck computer.

I would think you could do a 'read', then 'write' it again. Battery trick may do the same thing, I don't know. Good luck getting rid of your clunck though.

haven't messed with OVTune's flash tool since the TSB. I'll probably do the battery first.

The clunk is annoying but the power loss is a safety issue.

That is CRAZY! Thank you Mat for explaining it to us. Now we know exactly why you've delayed the AT release. You the man. Thanks again!

If the AT changes are causing the delay, would it be possible to release 1.05 for M/T dongleless users without impacting the 1.05 AT schedule?

I'm not sure if this has been asked but does having a re-gear mess with any of this?

Maybe we should just use the new S mode and leave Toyotas voodoo bullshit out of it. Put a piece of tape over the D. I wonder if this will be the new norm going forward or if someone at Toyota will eventually see this and be like WTF are we doing? There has to be a better way.

No wonder why the auto is such a god damn disaster. Sounds like Toyota came up with this great new idea for shift logic that’s overly complex, then got tired of trying to make it work right and gave it to an intern to finish.

The new TSB would upgrade you from 04b12 to 04b13.

You cannot run 1.04 on 04b13.

1.04r is the current tune for 04b13
