Tacoma - OVTUNE - VFTUNER - Update Info and Original Development

I would be a happy driving tacoma if i had 1.05. 1.04r is not doing it for me. Every 1.05 tester seems to be giving all positive things to say so i'm hoping this is the one that actually makes my truck drive like my 2009. When i drove that truck I didn't think about how it shifted going down the road, that's what made it perfect.

 

I understand, and we are getting there with it.
We have a lot of stuff coming for the Tacoma. It's just a time consuming process, but we will be around for a long, long time .

Heck I have 3.5L 2GR FKS engine on it's way..but for what? stay tuned (I know you guys hate teasers. when it gets here we will be showing everyone)

 

Just out or curiosity with the latest batch of orders how many how ovtune tacomas are on the road now? I remember awhile back something was said about 300-400.

 

We are somewhere into the 1000+ range..

There may be some brand new trucks shipping with our tunes from the lot next year as well.

Does this mean OV tune customers will be able to go to their dealer for warranty maintenance, repairs, etc and mention they are OV tuned?

 

Just had a small taste of a 2GR equipped '18 Sienna on the highway today. All I can say is nope nope nope nope. Fuck that transmission felt awful. Anyway, keep up the great work Mat!

I will be a tester. Experienced turbo tuner with gas & ethanol. I have the bank roll to buy the needed parts and experience to set everything up.

I am planning to go boosted by mid 2019. If you are planning on a turbo & tune package then count me in. Just make sure it can do gas & ethanol (larger injectors & fuel pump most likely needed).

 

Not everyone can handle the suspense! I personally enjoy the little looks into what's coming up. Appreciate it!

That's awesome. Makes everything seem like it going be around forever. If you ever start hiring sales personnel let me know. I'll be stationed out here in California for 7 more years. haha

 

It doesn't have the same transmission...ours is a 6 speed automatic (AC60F), that is an 8 speed automatic (UA80E)...I expect the Tacoma is worse...

Is there a way to get notified (e.g., get emailed) when new firmware releases come out? I am an owner of the tune for more than a year and checking this thread when I happen to think about it (every few months) is the only way I've learned there was a new release. TIA

It's definitely not the same transmission. My comment was more along the lines of programming, as it seems to do the same bullshit the slushbox guys complain about in here. Lol, so much nope.

 

You gonna make a twin turbo crate engine?
