Tacoma - OVTUNE - VFTUNER - Update Info and Original Development

Asked my mechanic about that. He said not enough to really matter.

 

yeah this would make a tiny change at best and the fuel trims will correct for fuel errors up to 30% long 30% short. So the ECU has a lot of room to correct for fuel error.
it has it's primary lambda targets and will do everything in it's power (fuel trims) to get those targets.

 

Does anyone have experiences with @OVTune in extreme cold. I live in northern Manitoba and it does get up to -40 in the winter. Would cold starts be affected by the tune?

 

Not quite that extreme here but I was tuned last winter and we saw a couple weeks of sub zero temps,I had zero problems with cold starts.

Stock is a 65mm and tundra is 72 IIRC. I experienced minimal gains by itself but can also see where after I get my truck tuned to the TB it will be a different story. It's definitely an upgrade by itself but custom tuning is really necessary to get the most out of it
