You and a few hundred others, I'm afraid. Was hoping for a 1.05-loaded handheld before holiday travel, but I'll be living the TSB life until then I reckon.

It's been hyped so much that Mat is afraid to release it now!

I’m not saying this is related to the tune...

I have a ‘17 DCLB 4x4 Off-road auto tuned on 104r 91 that I rarely drive. The last couple times that I’ve run the truck it’s been about 50* F. (not sure if ambient temp. is relevant). When I start it, I let it run for about 30 sec - 1 min before driving. If I barely touch the gas and hold it there, the truck bounces around like a manual transmission when you give it too much gas and not enough clutch, only a lot more subtle, but very noticeable. Is this because it’s still setting trims, etc. I did let it idle for a while when I initially flashed. Also, I’ve ran multiple prior tunes without noticing this.

That meme is just badass. I wonder if that's how Mat drives his Taco after tuning it.

If 1.05 + tundra TB isn’t the key fix, Volkswagen Golf GTI here I come.

I understand this truck isnt a fun car to drive. But it’s annoying as hell to drive. My wife’s 2017 4Runner is what I’ll drive for off-roading.

I want to enjoy my daily driver.

I'm still running OVTune 1.03. For those who's upgraded from 1.03 to 1.04, is there a noticeable difference?
    -Thanks-

    Throttle isn’t as sensitive.

It's pretty significant. Key differences I noticed:
1.03 had more aggressive throttle tip-in, but runs uneven when cold. Great throttle feel on the highway.
1.04 drives smoother at city speeds but feels flat at highway speeds. Many say it shifts smoother, I can't tell.

If 1.03 didn't hesitate and surge in a cold start, in my opinion, is the better tune.

Like Tac0tic0 said, I thought the throttle was less sensitive with 1.04 vs. 1.03. Also, I thought the shifting was smoother in 1.04 vs. 1.03, especially the downshifts. I wish I could go back to 1.04. The dealer did the TSB and I have the 1.04r files now. I agree with the consensus that overall shifting is smoother with 104r, but the truck shifts way too early and that "dead zone" in the throttle is back. I don't see a difference between the TSB alone and 1.04r, but that's just me. For me, 1.05 can't come soon enough.

    @OVTune

Will your tune work on a smaller TB Bore increase @ 3mm? Lower cost TB modification if a stock unit is sent in for modification.

http://maxbore.com might be able to bore stock TB.

I’m getting ready to install the URD stage 2 clutch and heavy flywheel since my stock throwout bearing decided to follow the lead of the 2nd gens. Toyota needs to fix the design of these.

Anyway, I’m excited to see if there’s a big difference with the tune and performance clutch.
