@OVTune in that video you posted earlier, that's all 6th gear at about 70mph, correct? Have you tried more like 75-80mph? From my experiences where I am, 75-80 on the interstate is what makes the shifting go crazy. Down to 4th constantly and have even seen 3rd gear in certain situations. This is usually with cruise control on.

Yeah, I'm down in that dark green state. We love our skinny pedal. Maybe that's why I average a bit over 18mpg.

 

North Dakota. Interstate speed limit is 75 here. Set the cruise at 80 usually.

Speaking of going above the speed limit:

If I’m in right lane doing speed limit (where I set my cruise) then I come up to someone doing less than limit, I’m merging into the left regardless of someone going above the speed limit, I will cut them off and have them hit their brakes before I slow down or speed up. Because I’m that guy. I’ll act like they’re not there.

 

LOL, Hawaii, the only State with a 60MPH max and that is only on 2 of our "highways". Those same 2 highways also have 45MPH zones

 

Yep, I guess so. As much as it might frustrate me to pull over when doing 10+ in the fast lane.... if the guy behind me is going faster, I let him (or her) by. It's just not worth the risk of some random road rage or accident.

I guess you never ever drive on I-49? Between Lafayette and Shreveport the speed limit has been 75 for years.

 

Fuck that stretch of highway and especially fuck Port Barre. I have gotten more BS tickets on I-49 for doing 5 over, 3 over, and 6 over the limit between 98 and 2006. In 1999, I had a 98 SS Camaro (well built too - 780rwhp) and got 2 "speeding tickets" in Port Barre in less than 4 miles. 1st was coming over high crested bridge headed west and the speed limit dropped from 65-45 without any warning and the cop was parked right at the 45 mph sign which was just over the crest of the bridge. 2nd was 3 miles down the road and I got nailed for 50 in a 45 when I had just left a traffic light and was accelerating through 40mph behind an 18 wheeler. I got a 3rd ticket from LHP for excessive acceleration as I entered I-49 trying to escape Port Barre.

I avoid driving around Louisiana now.

Everything has been tested pretty extensively. 2WD, 4High, 4 Low, highway, city driving, Cold starts, hots starts, etc.

I think you guys will be very happy with how the truck drives on the highway now, and yes we still want a couple people to independently test.
