It isn’t post-count bashing, I think it’s more that you need 50 posts before listing stuff for sale per the Buy/Sell/Trade rules on TacomaWorld (https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/buy-sell-trade-rules-and-regulations.326637/)

 

It’s really sketchy to have an uprise in these sales whenever anything related to 1.05 gets posted

 

Most people dumping their trucks have only a couple thousand miles on them at most. I don’t know how you could be that unhappy so quickly yet liked it enough to buy it in the first place

I wasn’t overly thrilled with some things with my auto but I still had it about a year and a half before I traded it off. If a tune was right around the corner, I’d have definitely waited it out but none of this existed back then.

 

Probably people buying tactrix cables, doing the TSB then trying to offload them and make a few bucks in the process.

That’s my guess anyway

2 days into 1.04 91 tune running 94 no ethanol (Canada) and all I can say is wow. It really is like night and day from stock. If you have this truck and don’t have OVTune you are blowing it! Can’t wait for 1.05!

 

I'm on 1.04r 87 tune running 93 octane. It makes my truck run pretty smooth. When I was on 91 tune running 93 I had some stumbling at low rpms. But our gas around here is shit.

 

When I was on factory tune pre-tsb I honestly had the truck running so bad on 87 I thought I was gonna brake down. The amount of detonation I was getting was insane.

 

For sure!!! order #3622 placed on saturday. Love the truck until I hit the interstate, really hoping this helps. Anyone have any reports of how the truck handles with the tune @ 75-80mph. Thats the speed limit in my neck of the woods. To maintain that now without tune my truck stays in 4th gear most of the time and occasionally 5th.

I started hating mine in the first week. BUT, my dumbass didn't test drive it first. I only had my rental for a few more days, was told it was 30-90 days to have something "custom built", and I stupidly assumed that since I LOVED my 08' MT, and hadn't heard anything bad about the 3rd gens, that they must be just as awesome as the truck I just lost. Would've preferred MT again, but AT is all they had at both dealerships. So I just bought the stupid thing so I could get back to the mountains and the class I was taking. Lesson learned, I'll never ever do that again.

I've been waiting to see if the tune will save this truck for me, if not I was going to trade in for MT or jump ship from Toyota altogether, but honestly now I've got so many dings dents and scratches on the thing, plus I just installed Ride Rights so I can tow a trailer, and am in the process of installing the compressor, my Hab is mounted to it... I think I'm just stuck with the POS at this point. Can't imagine what I'd lose trading in now.
