I have a 2019 MT. Would I be able to assist, and what does "dumping the ecu" involve?

If we are on 1.05 and need to flash OEM 04B04, the CUW file will not work I assume. We will need the ECU read binary dump from flash manager.

@OVTune will you provide the OEM 04B04 bin file along with 1.05 in the release? I upgraded to 1.04R without reading the OEM 04B04.

I supposed worst case, I can flash from 1.05 to 1.04R if major dealer visit is required, since 1.04R Cal ID reads 04B04.

You gonna be sending out those handhelds with 1.05 loaded on them when you release 1.05 or is that coming later?

From reading Mats posts about this engine it seems that the 87 octane gas is just not right for this engines compression. Will the 91 octane gas be better for longevity of this engine?

It sure as hell cant hurt anything. I'm at altitude and 91 is the highest we have in my area. 91 is all I run, FWIW. Thats on 1.04R 87 oct. tune.

Question, so I have the 0062-18 TSB update. I got OV tune before I had that update. So is my Stock CAL ID file no good now? If I flashed back to stock would it erase the update? I’ve been running stock since the update. I went from 04a6000 to 04a6100

Just the software ID of what your ecu is. It’s easy to find with the tune or a OBD reader.

Reading your ecu data and sending it in. Matt will need your ECU info to make 1.05 compatible with it.

You can’t go from the TSB back to an older stock calibration.

Well I don’t want to go backwards. I’m just saying the stock file that is saved on my computer was when it was at 04a6000. So if I flashed the ov tune 1.04 on it and needed to go back to stock for some reason it wouldn’t mess up that TSB work?

You need the 04A61 file, Mat can send it to you. When I requested 1.04R for 04A71 Mat sent me the stock tune file along with the ovtune 87 and 91.

I’m fairly sure that 04B02 2016 is what you would use. The year doesn’t matter as long as the ECU version is the same.

Probably had some knock during testing then..

I'm regularly in the ~1500rpm range in 6th gear during my commute (back roads). Any weirdness will show straight away on 'ol Ginger.

Anybody install the tune from a Microsoft RDS desktop? I ask because my laptop is technically work issued so who knows how long I will have that available. No issues to worry about with work though since only connection is basic wifi. No VPN or other stuff connecting to work network. Actually use RDS to grab a work desktop anyway.

I've got a virtual server 2016 desktop at home, could pull up on laptop and use that. Or standup a new Windows 10 desktop and use it. I suppose I could install techstream and see if I can connect with the tactrix cable on my laptop through the RDS.

If I can run a windows 10 VM, I can grab it anywhere with any computer in the future.

    Yes.

The Cal ID.. that's what is important.
