Tacoma - OVTUNE - VFTUNER - Update Info and Original Development

Where in Oregon do you live? I am in SW Portland and I have a tactrix OBD. I am off on Thursday and Friday's and if you want I can let you use it to get your tune on!

 

So i Just got the tune and the tactrix and I’m trying to get it ready and install the drivers and the p5 flash software. but it won’t let it run it says the publisher of p5 flash could not be verified. Windows firewall and virus is off. Any suggestions?

 

@OVTune we’re you able to change the tire size via tune in 1.05 so we can see accurate speedo, odo, and mpg?

 

Pretty sure he just removed it because his supplier isn't keeping up and people were still trying to buy it.

 

I purchased one when they were still in stock. Like a week after the release of the hand held tuner

 

IIRC the handhelds were only gonna be released with the 1.05 update, so until that drops I wouldn't expect them to ship

 

Most likely so the dealer doesn't 'accidentally' try to overwrite it... (my guess)

 

@OVTune Will we be able to revert back to previous 1.04R or stock TSB following an update to 1.05?

 

I’m not gonna flash to stock for any routine dealership visits. If they flash me back, I’ll just reflash.

I have a good relationship with my dealer. Mentioned the tune to a friend that works there; she is intrigued.

If I have an issue with the engine though, I’ll flash back to stock before bringing it in.

Windows 10 I assume? Boot into advanced mode and choose disable driver signature enforcement:

He said you can go back to stock and recommends doing it if you go in for service.

 

The best and most reliable way to keep up with this thread and get reliable information is go to @OVTune page and look at only his postings.

It’ll stop a lot of these repeated questions.
