Most of them you will need to pay. You get a free week trial with Carista and it will allow u to read it and change your turn signal blinks. Then just cancel subscription within the week and your good

Running fully paid Carista for the year, no dice.
Support sent me the beta, claiming it would fix it, no dice.
I may just have to (shudder) wait for the proper cable to get here with my OVTTune package.. THE HORROR
Really, just figured if I could get that info in advance I could speed up the process ;-)

Welp, I guess we're getting close to another massive tune release shitshow lol.

    Ahh the memories.

Keyboard warriors, close up and get ready to help out.

    Somebody find that meme!

I jest, but it's gonna be fun :)

A long time ago Mat said that S-ECT gear lock is an option. If you choose it you lose D-ECT. I believe there are a few options you can add to the tune and that’s why he has a form to fill out if you want to add that particular option. One of which is gear lock.

@OVTune - what about those that have their kits in transit, and cannot get the ECU IDs to you until they arrive? Will we still be able to obtain our 1.05 files during your break, or will this have to happen after the 3rd? Thanks.

You can use your Carista with the OBD Fusion App (its for iPhone... but Torque would be the Android equivalent). Then you can run the "monitor" and once it reads, you can go to the last tab (Mode $09) and it will allow you to see your calibration ID for your truck. I don't think you'll even have to buy the custom PID pack for this, though I think it's $10 well spent to get easy, bluetooth visibility to all the sensor data....

Well dammit. Do you know if he is modifying the shifting in ECT mode as well?

He’s said that his “off time” will be dedicated to support for 1.05. He’s closed, but not really.

    PSA (taken from Mat's posts):

    1. Flash Manager link, and all information that I am referring to above will be released via BLOG POST ON OUR SITE.

    2. ** for people who have sent us ecu IDs and are waiting for files you will get 1.05 directly by email.

This will need to be re-posted every page or so over the next 48ish hours.

**Just trying to do my part to minimize the confusion.

I have been working to resolve the issue with the Carista OBD2 not able to read ecu calibration ID on the 3rd gen Tacomas..After about a month of trading emails back and forth ,the latest beta version finally read it on my 2018 ...Coincidentally I had the TSB done yesterday as I was able see that the dealer actually did it. It read ......4A6100

I have the app on my iphone with their bluetooth connector The app version is 3.8 beta (380015) If you put in a support request they can send you a link to download from app store.... On a side note OBD Fusion app worked from the beginning but its not free.....

    Hey man, how are you?

With talk of improving engine braking for M/T in the tune, MAYBE we can hit on one of those two dastardly annoyances too - DFCO.

If not, custom tune request for that and elimination of rev hang.
