    @OVTune

I flashed the revised 1.05 and have no issues to report. I've only put about 60 miles on it but between the city and highway driving, all is well. Idle is smooth, shift points are right on par with where they should be, and best of all the highway drivability has increased dramatically.

The truck does tend to lug around 1200rpm under low load and 30-55mph city driving, however, I do not see this as a problem. The increase in gas milage is worth the sacrifice (is there even a sacrifice, because it doesn't seem so to me..) If acceleration is needed, the truck immediately downshifts, if necessary, and has plenty of power to get it self moving. If light acceleration is needed, it can usually achieve that without even downshifting. All in all I have to say, you knocked it out of the park with 1.05.

Same. I’d get it when coming to a cold stop.. but generally only happens once in the first 5 mins of operation but never after that. These trucks are weird

With 1.05 I was getting clunk coming to a stop with a warm transmission which is something I know Mat eradicated in his own truck with 1.05

The one thing I find strange is how some of these trucks will exhibit certain symptoms and others wont. I've never experienced the clunk on my '16 and so far have had every iteration of the tune. One thing I did have with the stock tune, which most seem to not have was a significant shift flair under light load, cold start, during the 2-3 shift. Havent had it for a while now and hoping it doesn't come back!

Letting the truck warm up at least 30 seconds when starting is a must. The truck ALWAYS drives better and all that malarkey about diluting the oil is pure BS. Any car, especially my Subaru drives better when warmed.

Kinda like doing some sort of warm up before a workout

The transmission is essentially slipping during the 2-3 shift. I would see a roughly 300-400rpm increase during the shift, and the truck falls on its face until it gets fully into third gear. This whole process would take roughly a full second for the 2-3 shift to actually occur.

Keep in mind, this was on the stock tune, and occured in early versions of the OVTune. It have not had this occur since 1.04

EDIT: If you've ever driven a manual, it would be like shifting from 2-3 under light load, WITHOUT letting off the throttle. RPM goes up, truck stops accelerating, then the truck makes it into third gear and all is back to normal.

Sounds more like rev matching to me

I have the exact same issue. Have had it in stock and 1.04. Does it in the morning especially and if it has been sitting for an hour or so. Gets stuck between 2nd and 3rd for a second. 1.04 improved it a bit over stock but not much. It hasn’t gotten worse in 21k tho.

I've had it since new, various tunes don't seem to affect it. Only happens in cold weather, cold engine while accelerating downhill. Never noticed it in the spring/summer. But this time of the year, guaranteed every morning.

There were some involved discussion early on. Don't hear anybody mention it anymore.

Mine won’t do it under hard acceleration in the morning. It’s just under light or moderate.

    My 'rev matching' automatic :cookiemonster:

It's a miracle I have kept this truck, to be honest. ALTHOUGH... 1.05 seems to be the cat's ass so far. If it was not for me realizing early on that Mat was / is working his ass off to make a finished product, there is no doubt in my mind the Tacoma would not be sitting in my driveway right now.

I’ve found 1.05 puts me in fifth gear even sooner than any other tune, including stock. 5th gear at 32 mph is unacceptable to me, going to be looking into SSP to compensate....oh well. Good luck all.

5th gear at 32 mph and 950rpm is lugging, anyone that tells you differently is full of it.

Mine either. First time I have been truly disappointed with Toyota, and I have owned and driven many.

I’m surprised how many people don’t like the Tacoma. I know it had weird ass problems with the stock tune, but this truck goes places others can’t, especially full-size trucks. And it will always have high-resale and life longevity

    Taco for life.
