I will do my best, but because of some changes that were required to idle and a few other things I cannot promise to have everyone's ready today. The idle quirk and few adjustments put me 2 days behind.
I should have more released today though.

Any pending orders that are left will go out tomorrow though.

Glad to hear, it usually takes my truck around 300 to 400 miles after installing the tune to really settle in. After getting 4.88 gears and the 1.04 91 tune my truck really started running well. I hope 1.05 improves fuel economy for me.

I just logged 40 miles on the highway and I must say that this little button will change the way you feel about 1.05. I also highly recommend that everyone give it a shot before giving up the option of ECT in Dmode for the optional gear lock feature.

Until 1.05, ECT and I have had a love-hate relationship. I loved the throttle response, but hated the way it seemed to highlight the negative features of Toyota’s TCU mapping. In my opinion, it held gears too long and downshifted to 4th prematurely when at highway speeds during calls for acceleration. It also didn’t like to shift into 6th gear unless I was at 75-80 under no load.

Now, I think this magic button really shines a light on how significantly @OVTune EPROM tables have improved the drivability of the AT Tacoma. I have a feeling @mesojdm will need to do a massive run on his ECT always on mod.

@OVTune, am I experience a placebo effect or does your EPROM make ECT a more usable feature? Either way, it’s freakin AWESOME!!!

Would flashing 1.05 using PCM Flash 1.1.94 cause odd behavior? I see there is a 1.1.97 version. Reason for asking, is I have about 400 miles on 1.05, and it exhibits some VERY odd behavior. 2017 TRD Pro, stock wheels/tires/etc. Went from 04B04 to 1.05 (dongle version) a couple days ago. EDIT-running the 91 octane map and Costco 92 octane fuel.

Here are my observations so far:

As others reported, I'm also seeing 5th gear as soon as 32 mph. 1100rpm chugging around in 5th gear was one of the biggest parts of the stock tune that I couldn't stand. For me, I don't want 5th gear until at least 45mph for in town driving. If the tune can't do this, then I'll resort to S4 for city driving. I still have the SSP in my truck, which I do use from time to time, but really don't feel like I should have to use that in conjunction with the tune.

There's a pretty significant issue when accelerating up to highway speeds that will make my truck get stuck in 4th gear. I'll accelerate up to 70-75 to get up to highway speed, truck shifts nice and smooth up to 4th, but won't upshift to 5th at all. Stuck in 4th gear. The only way it will shift up is to completely let off the throttle (slowing the truck down considerably), then it will shift up, then I have to accelerate again. Once I get up to highway speeds, it works very well though. I've never seen this truck use 6th gear as much in 2 years of ownership as I did on my 300 mile drive yesterday. With cruise set anywhere between 70-80 depending on speed limits, there still were a few downshifts to 4th gear (for hills or headwind), but it would immediately shift up to 5th gear when it should.

The small idle fluctuations are present, so I'll flash the new 1.05 version, although that is the most minor "issue" in my opinion.

All the same info is sent to OVTune support email, so will wait and see what Mat has to say.

I too experience the same thing when I accelerate on to the highway. Even if I'm just punching the throttle to accelerate, it'll hold 4th excessively long.

I'll try to get a video of it happening and send it in to Mat

Please be sure to include what version (octane) you're running because it should not be getting stuck in 4th ever.

For what it's worth, I flashed 1.03, 1.03B, 1.03C, 1.04, 1.04A, 1.04R, and 1.05 (initial map drop, pre-further-refinement, not the new one so calm down people, I don't have the updated version) with the same version of PCM Flash that I've had since December 2017 lol so I'm sure it's fine to use an older version. It's the tune that affects your truck, not the software used to flash. That's the interface.

Same here, I figure it’s doing the same job (writing to ECU) so no need to change something that’s working
