Since your reading comprehension is lacking....I had 2 questions, one of which I answered somewhat, the other was any news on the hand held's.

From a SystemID perspective: You dongle guys may get the tunes 1st and therefore are the guinea pigs, but the rest of us get the refined/finished product. Even though the wait is excruciating. I bought in July to get ahead of the 1.05 release lol (I know, Toyota's TSB release screwed all that up and is still to this day it seems).

Man, I’m 50 miles in my trip, cruise is FUCKED! Worst gas mileage I’ve ever seen. Below 10 mpg if I keep it on. Foot it is for 7 more hours. Might as well live in 4th. I’m in some wind but still! I had to pull over and smoke I was so mad hahaha

 

That’s the funny thing, somehow my pcm flash got deleted off my laptop even though I haven’t touched my laptop in months

 

I hope we can get the dongle-less files...enough with the dongle files. Share some 1.05 love

I’m sending u a data log of my truck stuck in 4th gear. 91oct. 105 pre-idle fix. My 1-2 shift problem was only in S-mode on my upshift. Your default upshifts are fine.

Give me a few to transfer files and email. Will be zendesk response email 3412.

Truck hauls the mail! I’m digging 105.

 

Care to elaborate more on being stuck in 4th gear? Is it like what I posted earlier?

 

Are you still on the 87 tune? 33’s and stock gears is not a good combo. You mentioned the intention of trying all three octanes in an earlier post.

 

I use cruise every day for about 60 miles. It can hold 5th relatively well and I average 16-17mpg on 1.04 91

 

What version tune and what mods? Doesn't make any sense..

I sure hope not, because it isn't funny. I'm trying to listen to every piece of feedback and concern, and why I asked about please sending to zendesk. If there is some issue trucks have that others aren't, I need to look into it and fix it.
Obviously the goal is better use of highway gears and better mpg. If there is a big issue, like that I need to know before to forum goes running into chaos.
Because when the forum gets chaotic I end up with chargebacks and paypal claims, and a post like that fuel it. Big time. I know we are all here to have fun and enjoy our trucks, and this thread can and does get messy, but please not in the middle of releasing a new version.

I've had several others even with big tires test and have much, much better use of 5th and 6th, and cruise so it's something to come to me directly please!

 

I'm going to try and get a bunch more data about my truck holding 4th on the highway too long before emailing you. Want to make sure it isn't the tune just settling in first.

 

I would agree with this as well, I've had it happen to me a couple of times. Give it not all of the beans but most of the beans when accelerating up hill, then I let off the throttle to cruise and its stuck in 4th as high as 4000 RPM with almost no throttle input. So far I've been using S mode to up shift when this happens.

Flashed from 1.04R (91) to 1.05 (91). 265/70/17s.No extra weight.

Still on 87 cause I wanted to give it a shot with more miles. My 33s and wheels are lighter than mats setup. And technically 32.8”. Rays and toyo r/t. I can’t even get 11mpg with my foot on the highway. Idk what’s going on. It lives in 5th. Goes to 4th on any sort of incline, I mean ANY! Cruise or not. I’m about to drive it off a cliff.


I AM NOT BITCHING! NOT ONE BIT. it’s toyota the totally screwed this truck up. I am so grateful for everything Mat has done, and continues to do. But I don’t know if there is anything that can actually make this truck right. I’m loosing faith. Will be my last Toyota that’s for sure.
