Yep. I’ll be testing 1.05 with the limiter later this week. Hectic with the holidays.

I wish I could have been a bigger part of testing 1.05 but since I’m not stock it wouldn’t benefit as many folks.

I also noticed a sticky 4th gear today after accelerating at half throttle for a bit. Let off and it wouldn’t upshift for about 3-5 seconds. Took me a bit to realize what it was doing.

Like mat said it’s definitely due to each truck being so drastically different even though they are the same. Really is amazing and frustrating.

20181223_153947.jpg 1.05 + Shift Sense Pro (SSP) anyone yet ?

This is what SSP and 1.04 looked like this afternoon

I'll be over the moon if 1.05 gives me another 2 MPG !

For those that have tried the full release 1.05, is the throttle in ECT mode still way more aggressive than normal mode?

Ok, so I did some tests on the remainder of my drive after getting frustrated. Sorry for venting on here and starting a load of poo slinging. I apologize!

I started over with 87 tunes, flashed stock TSB tune. Omg it was horrible like so bad I had to pull over and and reflash ASAP! Haha
Next up I did 1.04r, I did get better gas mileage than TSB and 1.05 but not as much power/“light feeling” as my initial 1.05 test.

So in conclusion, I lost my temper with the truck earlier. 1.05 is still the best rendition of this truck yet. HANDS DOWN. I can for sure say that.

I will be flashing 91 1.05 and see how that compares to the 87, in hopes of helping highway issues. After that I’ll reach out to via zendesk to address moving forward.

I apologize for stirring the pot in here. Just got frustrated with the truck in some headwind and needed to vent.

    Everybody enjoy Christmas!

I’m not. Thank you tho, they aren’t for sale. If they were the predator steps don’t come close to cost or quality of these

@OVTune Now I lay myself down to sleep. Hoping when I awake all versions of 1.05 will be on the street. And when I awake if that is not so all is okay as the sun will rise another day. Good night to all and to all a Merry Christmas. Thank you Mat for all you do. Sleep well and enjoy the Holiday Season.

I really wish some high level corporate person from Toyota would read all these posts.
It is absolutely PATHETIC that so much effort has to go in to making this goddamn truck run properly... and honestly after reading this thread and driving my truck for several weeks... I'm still on the fence about keeping my truck, much less... buying a tune.
Spent several hours on the highway this weekend with my TSB 62-18 update and in my opinion... this truck is undrivable in any gear above 4th.
33" tires with ECT button on... cannot maintain 70mph in S5 on slight grade into a headwind. Back and forth from S5 to S4.
I cannot fathom how an aftermarket tune can correct such a fucked up mess this truck is from the factory. TOYOTA should be fixing this, not Mat.

I bet there is and I would almost wager they have a "secret shopper" that has obtained the tune in order to "replicate it" for incorporation in their next "TSB" (Technology Stolen Blatantly)....

Yes, but they're not. I honestly don't think that will happen considering just how fucked up stock tune is.

What I can tell you and I'm sure you've seen trashing other posts this tune is amazing. I'm pissed at Toyota I had to spend $700 for a tune, but it would have been a $4K loss on a trade. I'm very thankful for OV to have taken the time and effort on this issue. Well worth every penny and wait for new versions

1.05 is great. If my truck came like this, I’d be satisfied.

But I still am not 100% pleased.

I'm in the tacoma for the long haul. Had it since October 2015. Way too much time invested. Over all, I love the truck.
